I liked the 30k distance. I did one two weeks ago. I did hit the wall and I got to stop haha. More 10 mile races.

I like both. I love running more. I run more. I guess running is cheaper if you go the very nice quality bikes than the typical ones you find at a department store. I spend a lot of money on running (shoes, apparel, races and ect).

I didn't mean speed work as in the sense as speed work for a beginner. I guess I should been clearer. You could do 5k program over again and just work on getting faster.

depends what your goals are. Do you want to run longer distances? I would stay with the 10k program, but if you are looking to increase speed then work find 5k plan with some speed work in it. Anybody who runs belongs here. I started this group just finishing a half marathon. I wanted to run farther but hadn't yet. I have stories but nothing too scary or rude. I do wish I had a air horn with me when I run or when I bike so I could "honk" at *kitten* drivers.

exactly. I don't think he would do well after a 5k distance. I think if you can get 4 or 5 miles in he would give up.

exactly! this major boo-boo did help their sales though and they have raised lots of money. So it did end well for them... but if self would have done their homework or any research at all they could have avoid this. They could have done an awesome story about her and how she is fighting cancer and raising money.

I am 8 miles short of my goal. It is okay. My foot has been feeling sore so it is better to rest more and worry less about mileage, but I am happy with my progress!

30k Just a Short Run 2:57:16 I was looking to be under 3 hours and I did it. I never did the race before but I was quite pleased with my results. At half marathon point I already PR at 2 hours. So I have a half in 3 weeks which is flat and slightly down hill so I think I could do under 2 hour half.

I eat cereal and have coffee before runs. I fuel with half package of honey stingers every 6 miles or so.

my grandma used to make me cream of wheat, with butter, cinnamon and sugar sprinkled on top. It was delicious. Not the healthiest way to eat it though. :laugh:

I foam roll my legs and ice my feet the day of (I should do it every day honestly it makes me feel better). Next day I do cross training like the elliptical for 45 minutes.

I usually do the elliptical or arc trainer. I lift weights but I don't really consider that cross training as I do it three times a week sometimes on days I run.

I did last year. I don't care. I was hot, it was cold in the morning before I started running I was hot as we kept running. I agree choice of clothing really isn't a factor when it comes to sexual assault.

yes definitely. I started out in size 14 and never thought I would be smaller than 10. I am now a size 4. Yes very possible for you to get size 10.

I like having a rest day. If you don't mind it then don't take one. I know after a hard training week I look forward to it.
