I am trying to figure out what to run during those 6 weeks. Pick up the last 6 weeks of a marathon training plan or wing it? lol I am not good at winging it. I love to have a plan.

Tapering and my marathon is this month. I am going to say 115.

You could start at week 7 to where your running your long runs at. Find a race and go for it!

I gain during marathon training... probably gain afterward, too. It is hard to shake that I AM HUNGRY ALL the time after you are done training for a marathon. My answer is to train for another marathon lol
-
I also think you will do well after doing Peak's! Good luck and I can't wait to hear about it!

Congrats!!!

Congrats on your first half! If you just completed one you don't need to start over again. I would keep a solid distance until your half in December. You could always start in the middle of Hal's training plan if you want to follow a plan. I would probably keep a long run between 8-12 miles. Your friend depending on when…

Umm I don't think there is anyway around it. I was 36D when I was at my heaviest. I am now a 34A. I am smaller everywhere so I am proportional. Plus running with big boobs sucks lol

i bought the cheapest... probably should have gotten a better one. I get better results using a rolling pin to be honest. google the stick... same idea as the rolling pin.

can never take my junk food and beer from me! Only from my cold dead hands hahaha

option B!

I would race the half and call it my long run. Maybe do 2 mile warm up and 1 my cool down like the previous poster suggested.

New PR in Half Marathon: 1:55:40 17th out of 78 in my age group. I will take it!

400 or so. New balance fresh foams have 300 on them so far and feel good still. Brooks ravenna I could tell around 250 that they were wearing out. Asics didn't last long either.

I wear sunglasses when its sunny. I usually only wear a hat if it is rainy to keep rain out of my face. A hat makes me too hot otherwise.
-
I've had it. Stopping running never made it go away. I kept running. It was never painful when I ran though. I kept stretching and doing strength exercises. Mine eventually went away. If it hurts to run I'd probably be more inclined not to run though.

You won't lose fitness. You will be running still just not same mileage. Tapering helps you rest for the big day. It serves a purpose.

Training plan says 170 miles, but I am staying conservative with a goal of 150 miles

didn't reach my goal. I was sick for 2 weeks but I was only 7 miles short of my goal. I am calling it success.

3 coming up in September Sept 7 Heirtz of Heaven 5k Sept 14 Erie Half Marathon - racing this one Sept 20 Boston Trail Harvest Half Marathon - not racing this. I ended up picking up this race because my husband can't do it and transferred it to me. I am probably going to run 3 before the start of the race. to make it a 16…

It is hard to stay in control of eating during marathon training. I want to eat everything! I am training for #3 and I am up 5 lbs. ha! I started to eat less during the day because I tend to want to eat more in the evening. That's what I do anyway. I

hahaha! love it. I used to wear underwear but now I don't when I run unless there isn't a built in liner. In the winter under running tights if it is really cold I wear small compression shorts under my tights.
-
I was really sick at the beginning of the month so I didn't get a chance to run until Aug. 9. I am back on track. I lost days to get miles in so I am going to say my goal is 130.

I have a belt, it's okay. I use it for really long runs and use my handheld for shorter distances or if I know I can refill. I don't like using my camelbak in the summer it chaffs on my collar bone.
-
I like smart wool lite socks and in the winter I have the thicker kind. I like them because they keep my feet feeling dryer. I use my GPS watch, garmin 210. I like it. It came with HRM but it chaffs my chest really bad in the summer, so I don't use it. I eat oatmeal w/ fruit and a cup of coffee before my long runs. I carry…

I hope you like it. I have one and like it.
