I think it is a rip off. I find more and more races are hosted on other sites, now, too.

I agree with this

I had tendonitis in that spot. It took forever to go away. Every once in awhile it feels sore but a good stretch helps. I lace my shoes differently, like a ladder and loose not to put pressure on top of my foot. I am not sure if that would help you or not. Maybe go a sports med doc.

I always eat a bowl of cereal and coffee in the morning. I eat something light so I don't feel full when I run.

Hell my little old lady neighbor always sees me when I am walking like cooling down for a run as I walk up to my house. She always asks how my walk is? I look completely flushed in the face and sweat dripping off me. I guess she thinks I am out of shape. lol I think a warm up as a jog I guess. I don't know. I really don't…

Every 5k I have ran this summer I PR'ed! First one was 27:26 in June, next one was 26:31 at the end of June and then I did a 5k on 4th of July and did it 26:00.
-
You could probably do it by then. You need to start running regularly. Run some more 5ks during the summer, increase gradually and you could probably do it.
-
140 for me!
-
My goal in June was 110 and crushed it with 135! I am going to for 140 in July
-
Congrats!

Yes, I get slower as the heat starts up but eventually I am back to my normal pace 3-4 weeks.
-
Congrats and so cool!!!

It took me a few years to get the courage to train for a marathon. I would see how you feel running the half and go from there. Some people run a half and say hell yeah I want do a marathon others like myself wanted more experience before making that leap.

I am late to the party. I always took "great job" or "you're looking great" as encouraging. I never thought of it be snarky. On just day to day runs I will wave, smile or say hi to other runners and that's it. Sometimes I don't at all because I am not in the mood.

Next race is 5k on 4th of July!

It would take me 12 miles to burn 1000 calories. It doesn't even matter how fast I go really or slow. I average around 85 calories a mile usually. I used to burn so much more per mile. I am 32 years old, 5'10" 137 lbs.

I am coming off an injury and starting fall marathon training mid month I am going for 110 miles this month.
-
^^^ this is what I use.

I forgot to post my marathon results. 4:41:11 A new PR for me. Slowly getting faster even while recovery from an injury.
-
I love this!!! I guess mine was last year the first time I ran over 13.1 miles. The plan was to do 14 miles but I ran 15 and right then and there is when I knew I was signing up for my first marathon. And I did so when I got home.

Yes, sure. Somebody has to be last? I was almost last a trail half race. I was 3rd from last.
-
usually I get shoes fitted in the store and then buy another pair online cheaper. I use runningwarehouse because my running club has a discount code for it. but their clearance and sale area is great.
-
I have always had coffee before my long runs. I've never had issues with it.
-
I would rest since your race is close if you don't feel up to it. With that being said I never noticed my cold lasting longer if I ran vs resting. I usually could breathe easier (felt better) when I ran than when I wasn't with a cold.
-
I agree. In the summer I eat some potato chips and feel better. With having to go, I drink 25 oz or more before long runs and stop an hour before. I go probably a few times and once right before I start my run and drink whatever, I don't keep track while I am running. I am usually ok to make it to the end.
-
feel free to add me too
-
My local running stores let me return shoes worn in if I don't like them within a reasonable amount of time.

Boston Trail Half Marathon 1:56:48 New PR from 2:03:44 last summer 6th in my age group 99th overall I really proud of this time since I have been dealing with an injury.
-
Increasing activity like this can increase your chance for injury. Even if you have been doing it for 28 days you could still be setting yourself up to get injured and not be able to run at all. I would be very careful. I know it is hard to stay no to a challenge or quit but I wouldn't risk it getting injured even if you…

I used to run through a cemetery. It isn't as uncommon as one might think. Actually I've seen quite of few people do that. Anyway I don't anymore because it is too isolated. Go somewhere more public to run. Always trust your gut. I've changed my running routes because I've gotten uneasy feeling from people around me. Like…
