Wow, I'm realizing how inefficient writing can be! why can't you all just read my mind or something? :) Just to clear any misconceptions of me starving myself--I am eating at least 1200 calories, most days more. I figured out the reason I'm getting the "message" --it's because I'm not eating back my exercise calories. I've…

OK--THIS is what I was trying to get at! I don't think I'm eating back my calories from exercise. I never really noticed this before. But, I'm definitely not starving myself and I exercise just about every day. This is it. THANKS!!

Sorry, I didn't mean to say I don't understand what the message is saying....what I mean is: Do you just ignore it or eat more? I'm wondering how many people are eating close to their recommended totals. I'm at 1200 cals per day but with exercise at the end of the day I've got 300-400 left over calories and that's when I'm…

So basically you are saying that almost every machine you use at the gym overestimates the number of calories you burn? Have you compared this with MFP? I'm wondering about the exercise I'm logging and not on a machine and not wearing my HRM...

hahahahahah. I like this too...
-
I missed this the first time around...where the frick is my "like" button?! :)

I agree with this post. I have a few friends that do this...I'm constantly supporting them and I never see them comment on anything I do...or don't do. It's slightly annoying. I agree with the person that said I'm not here to make friends, but it's a little rude if you see someone supporting you and you don't give anything…

Thanks, I'm not feeling very strong but I want to keep it up even if it's only on my own terms. Welcome back!

I've fallen off the bandwagon too. :( Just didn't feel like doing the pushups. Today I did 20 then 12, 12, 8, 15 for a total of 67 today. Not following any plan, just trying to get back into it.
-
And here I am stressing over an Olympic distance...yeash. Good luck with this, I will look for your workouts. :)
-
I got behind on my pushups so I re-tested myself and I did 18 to (pretty much) exhaustion. Back to week 1, day 1, level 3 I Go! 18,10,12,7,7, and 15 for a total of 69 today.
-
Right, I get that...so hard to do but so good for the body!
-
I detest "freshie pow pow" as in new snow, fresh powder. Mostly said by the snowboarders. Sorry guys just don't like it.
-
Hey, I still say it...but much less than I used to.
-
Agreed!!
-
I notice my lower back aches with the effort...neck too. Nice work!
-
week 2 day 3 level 3 for a total of 81 pushups. Felt like my form was going to **** after about 17 in the last set of 20. Arms are spent. This may sound weird but I feel like I'm even working my backside by doing these??? I've never correlated pushups with a butt workout...it's great!
-
Fat builds??? Can you explain?
-
wow, this post is funny! You guys rock!
-
I'm quoting myself because I made a mistake yesterday. I did the level 2 set instead of level 3...I wondered why I was able to do these with no trouble until the last set. Duh. I will continue with level 3 tomorrow and make up for missing pushups.

I like to eat about a half serving of almonds (about 13 kernels). Packed with protein they keep me going. Those 100 cal packs of "Justin's Nut Butter" aren't bad either.
-
Finished Week 2, day 2, rank 3 for a total of 56 today. My last set I did 18 (!) but my arms were like rubber afterwards.
-
Just finished week 2, day 1, rank 3-for a total of 6 sets and 75 pushups. The last 15 were really hard.
-
That's great! I always feel that the stress of a race brings me down a notch somehow...I guess you are "fed" by it. I'd like to get there. Good luck, and I hope you are feeling better!
-
Great work! You are setting goals and meeting them. Very impressive!
-
Just finished week 1, day 3, rank 3, for a total of 59 today--about 2 minutes rest in between and 4 minutes before last set. EEEOOOWWW! Taking the weekend off and will start week 2 on Monday.
-
Feel better! See you Monday.
-
Good point!!

"Bulk Phase" haha, I like it...is that a real term? I'm not a weight lifter by any means... I don't think I'd use an unfit personal trainer, but I see the points made here about knowledge being more important. You don't want to injure yourself...I mean, how did they get fit? Were they smart about it or did they burn…

Youngdoc2b--I noticed there are only three recommended workouts per week. Are you only doing three per seven days, or are you just moving on to the next week when the week's workouts are done? Just curious if there is any advantage to waiting...
