  • Watcher in the Woods! The scariest damn Disney flick I've ever seen!
  • I've had a form of what I thought was panic attack and it was really that my adrenal glands were only partially functioning. I went to the nearest health food store and bought raw adrenal extract--yes, sounds gross but worked like a charm. Also, how's your immune system? Perhaps start taking some immune formula and see if…
  • Wow, I have to admit this post is a hoot...but I know it's a serious topic so let me get on with it. I usually drink coffee in the am. and run either at noon or in the afternoon after work. By this time I'm cleaned out. I agree with some of the posts here that running is a laxative. That is a good thing. You have to train…
  • I have such a hard time with sugar! I'm also a 1200 cal. per day girl. Is the sugar proportional to your caloric intake? I find I use half my sugar just eating a banana! It's crazy! Yes, agreed I'm exercising every day. It's hard to stay under if I'm not exercising.
  • I agree with this and I was going to suggest the same...swimming. I know it's a pain to get all wet, and shower and it really can't be done during a work day, needs to come before or after...but it's worth it! Another thing I did when I was struggling with a foot injury is yoga and stationary biking. Do you think you can…
  • BTW--I am supposed to be on 1200 calories per day which is crazy because I am 5' 8.5" and currently weigh 130...I think the 1200 is feasible but I workout every day and I usually eat all my calories back. I'm not trying to lose, I'm maintaining. But I hear you, 1200 is not very many calories and very hard to maintain!
  • Usually a big salad...but not skimpy. I put cheese and or meat or tuna on it. I like a hard boiled egg or a raw revolution bar for extra protein. Today is shopping day so my options were limited. I decided on a bean and beef burrito (frozen) an apple and a hard boiled egg. I also brought one of those raw revolution bars…
  • for trying on swimming suits and running around the store
  • I was thinking the same thing. I'm going to send you a friend request...anyone that can stay calm when attacked is my kind of girl! :) If you chose to add me, I'll be looking and commenting on your workouts, not necessarily your food diary. For me the key is working out...just so you know. Best of luck either way!
  • I agree with the hard boiled egg and banana ideas but also I like a hand full of mixed nuts. If you eat them while drinking coffee or water they'll stay with you for a while. Sometimes I mix it up and do a chex mix thing...not sure if you want the added fat but I LOVE the taste--and you can add dried fruit. I really like…
  • I'm sorry about your relationship...that is a tough one. BUT, invest in yourself and keep yourself busy. Can you take a long walk to clear your head instead of binging? Or, stop at one container of Ben and Jerrys...Only allow yourself one AND--go to the gym the rest of the week!! Set even a goal for binging.
  • At the finish line of the Outdoor Divas Sprint Triathlon August 2012.
  • Actually, I'm not sure I agree with the exercise ball post...I think it's good for you if you keep correct posture while on the ball.
  • I agree with every one here. If you have a break or lunch, you could do yoga in your office...I do this in mine when it's too cold to run or bike. Two great websites with various length classes and varying intensity: www.yogadownload.com or www.yogaglo.com. Let me know how it goes!
  • Hello! I would much prefer to work out in the fresh air. Right now the fresh air is about 20 degrees. So I've been doing a mix of exercise that includes a lunch yoga workout in my office (office with a door, shades and a computer required). I need a pool so once January rolls around I will be in the pool once or twice a…
  • ha ha ha. I meant to say...good bad and ugly YOGA posts....sorry!
  • I'm a yoga instructor and I see some good, bad and ugly on MFP from time to time on posts. It depends upon the style of yoga you take and the teacher you take from. They vary as widely as the opinions you see on the replies to your post. I think yoga is largely misunderstood. You can get a very fit, strong and flexible…
  • I hope you have considered going to the Workforce Center as I suggested. Sometimes just having a relationship with someone who knows someone in business is a good thing. I just got two people hired in the last three months. They were Long Term Unemployed. Also, you may qualify for assistance since you, yourself might be…
  • HI! I hope you read this because I think I could help. If you just graduated and you need some experience go to your local Workforce Center. They are usually county facilities and they can help you get internships, on the job trainings and other related services. If you are 14-21 they usually have a youth program...I'm…
  • I would rather have an older man. But within 5-7 years older than me. Mine is about 5.5 years older and I LOVE him. It's perfect. I think it just takes guys a little longer to mature. That's why most of us ladies like them. But, yep agreed that this older guy is attracted to a younger woman...can't explain that. I'll have…
  • I like it too! I think the problem most have is that they are expecting turkey. You can't expect turkey! It's not like turkey. But it's good!
  • Could you just do the back stroke instead? I know it's hard to get your bearings on your back but you could roll over from time to time or use the beach to spot yourself from going off course. The breast stroke is just so slow...back stroke is faster. But it's true that the goal is to advance in a Tri no matter how you get…
  • I would be a grumpy bear at 500 calories per day! That's insane! I did see a show on some news channel that there are people that think if they severely limit their caloric intake that they will live longer...but the quality of life--no chocolate cake?!
  • Oooh. Interesting, I didn't even consider that I could "break my appetite." This is something I'm NOT trying to do. I want my body to tell me when I need food. I'm not sure I want to rely on a "steady eating plan" though. I tend to be more in the moment with my food intake. I'm learning so much from this post! Smiles.
  • That's true, I don't get the message when I haven't exercised!
  • Yup. Yup. Yup. I feel this way, too. Ravenous one week, not really hungry the next...
  • I know, right? Yes, you are probably correct, it's for liability....good point!!
  • Wow, that is not happening for me. I would be annoyed with that! I only get it when I'm about 300 under...like I said above--when I'm not eating back my exercise calories.
