The only girl I look at while I'm at the gym (other than myself) is the collegiate hammer throw girl who works her *kitten* off and has beautiful muscles. I am in awe of her. And then when I get home I take the cell phone pics I secretly captured of her and laugh maniacally as I photoshop my head onto her body. ...too soon?

Stop doing compromising things near people with cameras. Seriously though, until a person changes their perception of themselves, they will always hate the way they look in pictures - regardless of weight.

I agree with this. I don't wear gloves and in the beginning, I was getting really bad, painful callouses. So I started working on my grip. Now my callouses are almost unnoticeable and my hands never hurt while lifting.

Sadly, you cannot spot reduce. However, you can work to lower your overall BF% with strength training. Compound lifts like squats and deadlifts have tremendously helped my whole lower body.

Definitely start now - you'll thank yourself later. People have already posted some great programs for you (New Rules of Lifting, SL 5x5) and there are some good videos online to help with form. Don't be intimidated by the free weight section! I guarantee nobody is going to care... if anything, they'll just think it's cool…
