  • Awesome. Woot!! Are you posing at bodypump?
  • I have a very expensive roller and you tubed a few videos... I still look like an idiot rolling. Lol. I do yoga... Is that a substitute?
  • Ouch! That does seem rather painful. :noway:
  • Who knew lemon water could be such a riveting topic. :drinker: I think I'll drink a beer instead...
  • Amazing. As a mother of two, I am so happy I read your post. Motivation by celebrating your success!
  • Have you been tested for gluten intolerance/celiac? I'm not a doctor, but a family friend had similar issues (RA and such) and when off gluten, all RA symptoms went away. I really hope you find the solution. You are starting somewhere and that's the best place to be! Hang in there.:flowerforyou:
  • Personally, I don't like working out on a full stomach. A protein shake is tough to beat after a workout for max absorption, so I try to do that as much as possible. Do you have smaller meals throughout the day? That might work out really well for you. That way, no need for a traditional dinner so late.
  • That is a GREAT milestone. Congrats, I'm super happy you shared your success, it's always motivating to share in others success. Keep on going, you're doing so good!!
  • I ran my first half marathon at over 200lbs and I can tell you that Bodyglide is really great! Even after losing lots of weight, I still do not have the "thigh gap" that is all the rage, but I have some kickass legs thanks to lifting. I sure hope you ENJOY your vacation!!
  • Amazing!! Very inspiring! I don't have any questions, just wanted to give props.
  • FireOpal - For what it's worth Ben holds an Honors Kinesiology Degree, Ecomonics Minor. Also, probably a few years as a professional under his belt. He may not be a PhD but he uses science. But you know that because you've read all about him.
  • My husband (a bodybuilder) was telling me about the science behind lemon water and bodybuidling after I mentioned this subject. He referred me to this really easy-to-understand post. http://www.benpakulski.com/?s=lemon+water Ben is super respected in the lifting world and I thought I would share. Obviously does not list a…
  • I don't take anything on the forums personally. No worries there. I'm good with learning new things. I will say this: Check out Ben Pakulski's stuff...
  • I don't mind being proven wrong. Thanks for the additional info. :D
  • This is not a scientific forum, it's a fitness forum for people who are going through similar things and can share ideas and opinions and scientific facts - not exclusivel to any of those things. I get it, it's super important to know for sure. It's the attitude of hate and tearing down people that reminds me why I stay…
  • According to one article on Livestrong: (http://www.livestrong.com/article/111175-benefits-lemon-water/) Lemon's Benefits Adding lemon to water is an easy way to get some of this fruit's nutritional benefits. Lemons are low in saturated fat and sodium and are also a good source of folate, potassium and vitamin C. Folate is…
  • Congrats on hitting your milestone! AMAZING progress. Keep it up, you're an inspiration to many! :)
  • Wow, angry bunch. It's not a magical cure, you have to do your hard work with exercise and proper nutrition, but there are so many health benefits to lemons. Adding to the water can't harm. It amazes me how MFP forums bring out the absolute negative types. It's a board, with opinions. So yours differs, my goodness,…
  • THIS!!!
  • I have the GSP Rushfit kit at home and am trying to find people who have done it to get pointers...anything to add? thanks!
  • I would run in a moisture-wicking shirt (you could overheat if the sun dries all your sweat as fast as your body can produce it I've read from various running studies), but for lifting, I would say, as long as it's safe and does not hinder your posture or safety, go for it... I would totally rock those abs! (when I finally…
  • I think disgusting is harsh... In this segment she clearly alludes to psychological trauma and uses it as her 'shield' to be overweight: "I’d packed on the pounds as a neglected child whose father passed out when his rage was spent, whose mother was petrified to move, to wake him. I was a little girl whose dinners always…
  • Fantastic! Congrats. You are doing so great! Thanks for sharing your progress!
  • Nothing more to add, only that I LOVE that there are real lifters around here...I'm an old school lifter here...I usually don't get to learn much about bodybuilding on here. I usually get that info from BB.com. Post progress if you go ahead, I'm always looking for great ways to stretch my limits!

  • :drinker: mmmmmm....beer.... No help from me. I refuse to give it up ESPECIALLY once football gets going. This might bring on haters, but rather than cut beer out, I will increase my exercise component. That way, I fee that I have earned my beer cals... I've lost over 60lbs in a healthy way so I must be doing something…
  • I hope people don't expect me to comment on much...I'm not the type. I have noticed that people will say "WTG" or congrats messages on my diary posts and I'm like "I ate 700 calories of junk and beer....weird." LOL
  • Neither. I'm a Saucony convert. Although, the shoe usually fits the person and not the other way around. I had my foot anaylzed by Saucony at a sports convention and have been running carefree since. Saucony's claim to fame is that they ONLY do running. I think they have perfected the weight/support and materials…
  • LOL!! But seriously, ^^THIS. I do this.
  • The number of rude posts here is astounding and shameful. Everyone is entitled to believe their story is different, because it is. We might share similar goals or struggles, but our weight gain/loss history and our pasts are nothing alike. Come on...cut people some slack. To the OP, take it one day at a time. Every healthy…
