Amazing success, thanks for sharing. You look fabulous. :)

Welcome and wishing you much success. I wanted to give you hope about the weather though, I'm in Ontario, Canada and we are covered in about 2 feet of snow with tons more on the way today. Hang in there, winter only lasts but a season (and that goes for your weight and weight loss journey as well). cheers,

Sorry, no. It's important to realize that your body will change before the scale will because building muscle may have the opposite effect on numbers you see. You can lose fat and gain muscle and be smaller in your pant size and heavier on the scale. 1 week is hardly enough time to see any results, save for a little…

There is always an adjustment period (varies between people). Mine was 3 days of complete crapiness...then on the fourth day I found I had energy and my mood had stabilized (so had my sugar levels). I find that adding a tbsp. of chia seed to my morning oatmeal or yogurt really helps in the hunger department (chock-full of…

Yes. I did IP a few years back and lost 40 lbs. It was tough. The first week was the worst. But after that got really easy. If you pay attention, it will really help you learn about the food you should eat, want to eat and should avoid. GL and hang in there!

Right away I noticed your arms!!! WOOHOO! congrats. Keep on doing what you do. You are doing so great! :)

I read this: "It takes 4 weeks for you to notice a difference, 8 weeks for your friends to notice, and 12 for the rest of the world. Don't quit!" Kind of stuck with me.

I have a lot of Joe Fresh pants too! The only issue is the yoga ones slide down a little...and I have a BIG BUTT so this should not be happening!! LOL

OHHHH!!!! I Loooooooove UA!!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! And adidas.... I would even say that the UA pants and bras are BETTER that Lulu. Also, Lulu became publicly traded last year or so and since then, seems to have taken a slight turn for the worse...

Start here: Calories in vs. Calories out. Period. Juices are great, for the taste and for the nutrient-rich components, but I assure you, the weight will come back very soon after if you do not change your lifestyle and how you view food. I'm not touching the carb comment, but suffice to agree with previous poster that you…

I find that Adidas makes the BEST workout clothes. Costs less and goes to size whatever! I've never had issues in store with Lulu. I have several items from them and they are cute, but not at all better than any other brand. I find their tops are slightly short...maybe it's just me. The best is that you can get Adidas…

I agree with this^^. BB.com and C25k are great!! My goal is do something for 60 minutes per day. (walk, swim, run, play tennis, lift weights etc.) I wish you much success.

Totally this....

I'm a free-weight enthusiast (like most who have posted before me). I will say that 20-25 lbs for arms is a gross generalization. What part of the arms? Biceps? Shoulders? Triceps? Forearms? For example, I use 30lbs for one of my tricep exercises and 55 for another, 40-60 for my biceps (depending on isolation or not) and…

^This. running outside uses stabilizers and propelling motion. Treadmillls mostly take care of that for you (well, normally).

I don't log lifting.

I believe that caloric deficit is the only equation that really counts. That said, I am gluten intolerant so I have to limit some things, but I still allow myself to eat (or drink...lol) whatever I feel like, in moderation.
-
You are not losing weight because you are not at a caloric deficit. Open your diary, therein lies the answer (if you log accurately).

My biggest peeve is when people feel they "own" a spot or machine. One lady told me "That's my spot for this class." My response "I think it's important to change things up sometimes." Also, the toilet-flushing thing really ticks me off...just flush already!
-
New rules of lifting actually explains that if you don't have the biological disposition (most women don't) to be bulky, you won't. Also, women bodybuilders who look like dudes are most likely supplementing with crap that makes their bodies react like men during work outs etc. Natural bodybuilders (women) are generally…

IMHO you can't find the time, you must make it. I have done Jillian Michaels DVDs, strength yoga and lifting at home. I take my kids running with me (daughter runs and little guy in jogger). Also, I do most of my working out over my lunch hour. Do you have any equipment at home or are you starting from scratch? There is…

Ohhhhh....I do LOVE dancing. Sadly I look like a convulsing blob... :grumble: <a href="http://s852.photobucket.com/user/fooninie/media/54t1zqhjpg_zps2091a2b6.gif.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i852.photobucket.com/albums/ab87/fooninie/54t1zqhjpg_zps2091a2b6.gif" border="0" alt=" photo…

Well, never thought I'd say this but I'm one pound away from an elephant penis! I have lost a FRIGGIN AC!!! :) This post is awesome. :drinker:

Awesome!!! Thanks for sharing. :flowerforyou:

Umm....my colleague is a size 4 and has about 25lbs to lose. She is 4'9". "Skinny" is completely subjective and this comment irks me.

I vote veggies all the way! I eat one fruit per day on average but about 4 cups of veggies. They fit in my calorie goals and fill me up.

Some people feel the need to say negative things about everything. Eat your half doughnut and stand proud!

Congrats! And what an amazing success, halfway or not, you are totally doing this!! :) Cheers,
