I use a smith machine for my own peace of mind. Only for squats and bench press. Otherwise I can wing it. Good luck finding what works for you.

AMAZING!

Unless they are conspiring to throw you an amazing party what they are doing is wrong and disrespectful. Ditch the dude and smack your little sis. Seriously...people annoy me...

Love pizza. If I'm going to have a treat, that's my go-to. No recipes from me, just wanted to weigh in that I FRIGGING LOVE PIZZA!

Thank you so much for posting! Not only inspiring, but TOTALLY AWESOME! Congrats. I can't wait to look like that. :)

That's awesome. Takes hard work and tons of dicipline to have that build. Conrats to him and for you for having access to a great trainer!

First things first: Congrats! You're making strides in the right direction. there is a saying that abs are made in the kitchen. I try to live by the 80-20 rule. 80% eating right and exercising regularly and 20 % flex. Walking is GREAT exercise. FYI, I'm a runner and when I speed walk, I get all sorts of sore ;) Hiking is…

I am a working mom of two children and they have both gone through phases of mommy and daddy-adoration. :) Hang in there. From my experience it is normal and ok. Note: I went back to work after both children because I am not stay-at-home material. I am a better mom when I balance both (even though it can be overwhelming…

I've used the Nike+ for iPhone and found it drained my batteries big time...any pointers?? Not sure what my handle is....probably fooninie. ;)

Me!! ME!!! I have two children 10 (almost 11 YO) and 3. I have a 6 year old boxer, which I bought as a running companion. :) It's funny, you and I have similar interests. I share my running passion with lifting though. That said, don't be lonely, people like you are all over MFP! Feel free to add me. Funny note: I have to…

In case you never thought you would be: YOU ARE INSPIRING! Your story will help motivate me and so many others. Thanks for sharing you story. Through everything, you achieved MORE than you set out for and that is so awesome! You rock. :)

Wow!! So inspiring! Thanks for sharing. You look amazing. :)

IMO, you can't. They can choose to be supporting or they can choose not to, but you cannot make them be anything. That said, keep rocking it out and let your success do the talking for you. At the end of the day, it's your success, your journey. Hang in there, MFP is a great place to get support and share successes.

I'm in because I love lifting and running and have not had issues doing both + yoga to keep things limber. Super interested in seeing what others are doing (I lift heavy but longest runs are 10k right now)

Ireed89 is right in her post above. Note: Not logging ketchup and such is probably not uncommon for most, unless you're eating the jug, it should have negligible impacts on your overall success, but get into the habit of logging everything...I even log 0 cal tea and drinks, for example. Logging it all can also serve as a…

Amzing, amazing, AMAZING!!! So inspiring! Thanks for sharing. :drinker:

This is such an honest and inspiring post. It really hit home to me as I read this. I am fully in agreement. It's not about perfection (always being in a deficit, for example) but about change and adopting permanent healthy choices. Good on you for being the one to say this...I think this actually reflects more people than…

The first time I felt strong in a really long time was last year when I had 120lbs on my bent over row.... My reaction was to run upstairs and tell the masses. And I LOVE to lift. Truly adore it... I run as well, and it's good and I've run a few 1/2 marathon distances, but lifting has that special something...:glasses:

AMAZING! congrats, man!

I eat somewhere around 1400-1800 net calories per day, depending on my exercise anor if I'm having a glass of wine with dinner and I must say, I have to be careful to not go OVER that amount. Are you logging everything?
-
Your post is awesome! And congrats on your acheiving your goals! I'm still chuckling...

Increase your protein. My personal trainer had me on a high protein, no sugar meal plan. I was averaging about 140-150 grams of protein per day and that took care of most of the crashes and hunger. What it did not fix is the food dependancy that I had. That took work on my part! Good luck with your goals!

Wow! Congrats everyone! I lost 62lbs in about 12 months.

Changes for a healthy lifestyle are so important. The scale is such a small part of the journey! You are doing great! 5lbs per month is very good and steady. Don't feel it is not significant. Chin up!

Woohoooooo! You look stunning! Congrats on your achievement! :flowerforyou:

The simply and simply whey bars. I love Luna but not enough protein per bar for me. I do keep both on hand though because luna is more of a treat when I'm looking for sweet something. I've heard of Quest... I might try them but hard to find here.

You want to make sure you are eating enough to feed your body. Losing weight is more than watching the scale. It's about change, progress and measurable successes. Anything under 1200 calories per day can be dangerous. If you are exercising on top of it you need to add calories. 20lbs in a month may be feasible, but it…
