Hm. I'm struggling with the deficit concept as well. I struggle to get my calorie count up to 1200 not counting the exercise deficit. I have the same problem, and tackle it by making a meal I can live with and then adding a loaded baked potato or a can of baked beans for him. wow, looking at your page, you've been really dedicated. Good for you! Just keep at it. You might also make sure your fiber intake is consistent. Not to go into TOO much icky detail, keeping things moving helps a lot, and keeps bloating down, too.
