  • I am not a nutritionist and am on my own health journey, I've come very far and still have a way to go. I lift heavy 4/5 days a weeks, as well as do CrossFit and run. I have done this for a year without looking at my diet and have lost about 7 inches from my waist / hips and about 4 from my bust. I haven't lost a single…
  • Wow! That is amazing! I just did CrossFit Total yesterday and managed - Overhead 105lbs, Back Squat: 155lbs, and deadlift 195lbs. You are truly inspiring! Thank you for posting!
  • Anyone worried about lifting heavy and bulking up, don't. It really isn't going to happen without specific effort to do that. My husband's cousin is a professional bodybuilder and she requires a very specific diet and exercise regime! Also, I am 5'7" and lift heavy and am certainly not a bodybuilder! Three movements I have…
  • Lol! How touchy we all can be! I think some of us should take a deep breath and resolve not to be a toe rag anymore. Who care whether a woman should 'know' this stuff or not. Somebody asked for advice, it doesn't cost us anything! I have had a period for 22 years, it has always been the same, I never had any problems with…

  • I have found that because I have compulsively overeaten for so long, I no longer know what is a 'normal' amount of food. I have only been to one OA meeting (my second is tomorrow), so I don't have a sponsor yet and am still discovering the program. I committed myself to only eating 3 meals per day and only drinks…
  • Hi, I'm Rae and I am a compulsive overeater. I said that yesterday for the first time and I had no idea how hard it would or how good it would feel. I was really pleased today to find a group on MFP, thank you for setting it up! I have struggled for the last 15 years with my weight and relationship to food. I've tried Mayo…
  • I started knitting in November and so mostly have just done scarfs, a couple of hats and a few pairs of fingerless mitts. I have just started my first item of actual clothing and am knitting a cardigan for my sister =D
  • I am raisydaisy on ravelry! I will have a look for the MFP group =D
  • Hi I'm Rae, 33 married with two boys (15 &12), I just started knitting in November of last year and I love it. I always watched people knitting and wished I could, so I finally went and got some yarn and needles and I haven't stopped since. It is a great distracter for me. Plus, if I am knitting I am not eating. Yay!
  • 5'7" and about 220 ( I need to get the scale fixed); I need to lose about 70 pounds to be in that 'healthy' range. The only reason I have is that I am really just not healthy and I am starting to feel it a lot. 33 is probably to young for all that! I have two sons (15 and 12) that need me around and a hubby that needs me…
