  • Loaded up ford expedition, we have two kids and a dog. My wife had a mini van for six years, drove it all over the US, never had any issues, it was a Chrysler town and country. She loves the expedition. Plenty of room for everyone and everything, only downside is it loves gas, but she is very happy with it, it is roomy,…
  • Not a Mom, but a Dad with a 9 year old who has Asperger Syndrome, when she was younger, school was tough, we got calls to come pick her up, she would just get so upset at small things, like a substitute teacher she didn't know about. She has gotten better as she has gotten older and the school has been a huge help in…
  • I use the following Runkeeper My fitness pal Zombies run Gympact Fit builder These are on my iPhone. Zombies run is a running game, cool if you like zombies. Gym pact is an accountability app. You say how much many days a week you will go to the gym and pledge a certain amount for everyday you miss. If you meet your goal…
  • I think if you are happy with the results keep training, I think you may be overtraining too, 2.5hours a day 6x a week is a lot, however if you are able to do it, your body feels good, than keep at it. If you are looking to add some muscle, than you want to cut down the cardio some, because you won't build muscle while…
  • Jay bird freedom Bluetooth earbuds with the Secure fit ear cushions. Tese stay in my ears and so far are sweat proof. They have different size ear buds, once you find te right size, they are awesome.
  • I know what you mean, I hate working out at home, you are right about exercise, but diet is a huge part too, I try to eat a few less calories on days I'm not going to burn as much. How about looking for an elliptical on Craig's list or at garage sales. I would definitely try to get your diet dialed in and see how that…
  • As long as the pain isn't preventing you from doing daily activities, it should be fine, if you have recently started lifting or had a particularly great session, this muscle soreness is normal, like the other poster said, as long as there is a day of rest between your exercising, you should be fine. Good luck on reaching…
  • I think it depends on the person. I tried to workout at home, but lacked the motivation, I have gotten my best results since joining the gym and MFP. I'm motivated to go to the gym, I like the atmosphere there at the gym. There are some people that can put in a workout video at home and do that or use a home gym, I found…
  • Yes I would still wear it if I worked in a remote area. I like to wear it because of what it symbolizes, I'm proud to be married and not trying to hide that fact:)
  • Knowing how great I'll feel posting my workout on MFP and not wanting to be the person I used to be. I'd also like to add that your boyfriend's loss is going to be a very lucky guys gain. Good luck on your journey:)
  • You look awesome, congrats on the loss and look forward to seeing your future progress. Those before and after pictures are incredible, great job.
  • Lone wolf here, I prefer working out alone, if I need a boost running, I'll glance at some else's machine and try to pass them or I'll just think of something else to keep me running. I like being in my own zone , no chit chat or small talk, just get in there, do my thing, and leave.
  • We all start somewhere. I used to want to run 1.5 miles in under 15 minutes, then I thought about ruining 5k. I started running outside. I made my goal about distance, not time. I reached my goal and then wanted to get under 30 minutes. I then switched my goal to distance. I now run about 4 miles twice a week. I like using…
  • I just do strength training 3x a week. My thoughts on the calories burned is that I'd rather be under than over, so I'll take the lower estimate. I thought about an HRM, but on cardio days, the machines seem pretty accurate to my burns. I've had people using a HRM vs the machine readout and they were pretty close, so I…
  • I think I'll bad I feel if I don't finish I'll just concentrate on the music or some other thought Ill break the last minutes into smaller portions. Think how nice it will be to publish my results to my MFP friends
  • I didn't know her, but saw her on friends post, that is to bad and I hope whatever she is going through gets resolved and she can come back.
  • Around 60/mo for the family at the Y. I did Delong to a 24hr gym, no saunas, whirlpools or pools, just weights and showers. 24 to join and 24 a month. I think most big chains in the area are 19-30 a month.
  • What about the amazon Fire, I think it's 199.99. Has te android is on it, apps, etc. google it and see if it fits your needs.
  • This is the reason. People think that their time is so much more valuable than yours, try don't care.
  • Thumbs up, thanks guys
  • Logging as best I can and will probably go over Thanksgiving and definitely Christmas, these will be guilt free and I'll work out like I normally do, I'm not going to go crazy and I'm also not going to stress over it either.
  • I used to buy all these different supplements thinking they would help. Since starting my exercise again, I have bought whey protein, creatine, a multi vitamin and a joint supplement.
  • I go with my iPhone and gym bag, I would say a majority of the people I see at my gym are solo. I know people there and I'll say hi, but I really like to just get in a zone by myself and do my workout. That is me, now if you want a friend to go, I say do it, you want to do what works for you as a another poster said, do…
  • Six days a week about 40 minutes a day. I do 3 days of cardio and 3 days strength training.
  • I was friends on here with a lady and she told me she would have to delete me because of her husband being jealous of her guy friends on here. I told her no problem,, I understood. I think if a women wants to be friends only with women, that is fine, there are plenty of other women on here who want guy friends, I don't see…
  • I'm hardly on FB, the only posts are automatic from MFP and runkeeper. I'll occasionally check it to see how people are doing.
  • I use what the machine says, for me it's always lower than what MFP says. On the machines I do put in my weight, same with runkeeper. I figure I'd rather under estimate my calories burned than be over.
  • I use runkeeper to track my runs and the notebook on my iPhone to track my workouts, MFP takes care of my food and calorie tracking. I have some other apps loaded up, but don't use them anymore. I have seen an app called fleety that I might try. I think to many apps can be a distraction, especially if they are all giving…
  • We have had two German shepherds. Ours is now almost 2 and we never had problems with either when we left. Can you confine him to a kitchen area or some other area when you are gone? How about leave for a few minutes ad come back and try to extend the time you are gone. How about a treat for him when you get home? Don't…
