Found a moose skull in Vermont this year, does that count? Found one shed by accident a couple of years ago.

Suck, Suck and Suck!! I have seen 3 sets of coyote tracks for every deer track. I did get see a doe in my yard on Sunday (no doe tag and no Sunday hunting here). Muzzle loader started today. 2 weeks to try to fill the freezer. Good luck to those still hunting.

Friggin 10/20 is opening day in Mass.

That is awesome. Great pics too. nice deer!

I also had a chance at this one last year but about 5 yards from my shooting lane he cut behind me and when I swung around the tree, I knocked my arrow off. He then hung out about 60 yards from me for a couple of minutes. Oh the joys of bow hunting.

I know I posted this last year but there a few new hunters here. this pic was 19 yards from my stand but this is the only time he was seen. [/URL]

Thanks all. I have used the kisser and peep but I am getting a new bow (well, new to me) and was just curious as to other people's thoughts. Much appreciated.

We have a bunch here is Mass. The beech trees don't seem to have as many nuts as last year.

that thing should have a saddle! I had 2 does and a skip spend almost 12 straight hours in front of my camera last Monday. I'm waiting for the bucks to show up in 4-6 weeks.

I like the Rage because they come with a field tip that flies like the BH.

My work schedule is going to prevent me from getting out there this Spring.

Congrats on the elk. that is great

congrats hunter and Tracker. shotgun opened here on Monday. I saw the *kitten* end of a deer at 6:40am and then nothing. and it rained all day. Tuesday morning I slipped on black ice and damaged my LCL. now in a brace from ankle to thigh. hopefully I can get out of this thing soon so I can get back in the woods.

I guess that makes getting them home quite easy!!!

that is a couple of great deer! Nice job. I spent the weekend in Vermont where they have a 3 point minimum. I had a doe and button buck run less than 10 yards from me. The button stopped and i could've spit on him. They take off into the pines and come back with a spike giving chase. I grunt at him and he stops about 20…

Great looking coyote. Hunter, at least you got a shot off. I had two does around me when the big 8 pointer (the one at the top of this page) comes trotting down behind me. I get ready to draw and he takes a hard right towards the does. I swing my bow around the tree...and knocked my arrow off!! he and the does hung around…

Great job. The best coyotes are the dead ones!

In my stand before sunrise this morning. around 9am I hear a snap. I see 2 does walking towards me. They get about 60 yards and stop. 3 more appear and they all continue to slowly stroll towards me. they start to follow their typical pattern and they're moving behind me like I want them to. as they start heading down the…

I picked up 3 Rage heads for $40 and it came with a "field tip" at D!ck's Sporting Goods. Not too bad.

check this beast out!! he visited my stand at midnight. I think I might pee down my leg a little if he walks into my range!!!

Well of course shot placement is #1. it doesn't matter what you're shooting if you hit the thing in the *kitten* end! I think the bottom line is that you'll probably shoot better with whatever you're most comfortable with. the majority of my shooting windows are up to 30 yards with one being over 40 but I wouldn't…

Carriebeard, congrats on the doe!

I love the Rage and most of the guys I hunt with use some type of mechanical. My bow technician shoots competitively and he insists I use the mechanical because of a more consistent flight.

I wanted to share this picture I had on my camera the other night. It is the craziest rack I've seen. He is an 8 pointer even though in this pic you can't really see it. I hope I get a chance at him. This pic is only 19 yards from my stand.

I haven't hunted bow season in about 17 years. You couldn't use a release back then. Takes some getting used to. After a few shots, I finally remembered how to shoot but I'm sporting the swollen and bruised forearm. Dumb *kitten*!

good luck with the elk hunt
-
you two are making me jealous. I have 12 more days until the season. I did check my camera today and I've had a 6 pointer and 2 does visiting 3 times a day this week less than 30 yards from my stand. hopefully they will continue this pattern for a couple more weeks. love the pronghorn pics. what is the typical weight? and…

That is awesome. Congrats. Can't wait to see the pics.

Tree stand has been moved, camera is up...10/21 is opening day here. Good luck to all. and if you find that you have too many deer that need shooting or if your freezer is too full...let me know and I'll be there. on another note, by father used to hunt with a Remington 742 Woodsmaster 30-06 from the 70's. it sat in his…
