  • I'm new to the MYAC, but I need some motivation to get moving. My goal is 85 miles in the month of October. I'm off to a VERY slow start for October (I have been on fall break this week). 10/1 ~ 1.19 10/2 ~ 1.82 10/3 ~ 1.61 Here's to a great month of moving!
  • I LOVE your post. And I must admit that I, too, have broken EVERY one of the rules that you listed!!! I agree, some days you just need a dang pop tart -- all 400 calories (or in my case a blizzard from Dairy Queen and not the mini one a small or medium) Thank you for your very real post. I think most of us can…
  • I am/was having the same problem. I wear my Fitbit all the time and I log my exercise activity in MFP. I don't log anything in the fitbit program. I don't eat back any of the activity calories from my fitbit -- I don't know if you've noticed or not, but as you become less active at night it will begin to take away those…
  • I'll be starting 30 day Shred on Monday (7/1). This will be my first attempt also. Can't wait to see the results. Good Luck!!
  • I'm 5'4" and have about 35 pounds to go. I'd love the support and encouragement. I'm struggling to find a happy place with exercise and eating. What do you all think about (or how do you handle) eating exercise calories? I've been exercising 5-6 days a week and the scale hasn't budged in 2 weeks (I've lost some inches).…

  • Thanks for the info. I just realized yesterday that my net calories are no where close to 1200 so I need to up my intake. My goal today is to revamp my meals/snacks and get in more (healthy) calories. I think for about a week I've only been netting about 800 or 900 calories -- probably the reason I'm not seeing any lose.
  • Insanity Friends ~ Another question. This is month 1, week 2 for me and I'm wondering did you all change your MFP goals to increase your activity level when you began Insanity? I still have my activity level set at "light activity" and I think Insanity qualifies as more activity... I'm not sure if it makes a…
  • I just started Week 2 today. The soreness will get better. I was the same way, but I went ahead and did each day as suggested in the plan outline and it does get better. I still have some soreness, but nothing like the 1st two days. Keep going -- stay strong!! Good Luck!!
  • Week 1 = DONE!!! It's been a long week, but I've found that if I get up and workout 1st thing I tend work harder. I can't wait to see if Week 2 is easier... Thanks for all of the support and encouragement.
  • I need some help from those of you that have been at this for a while. I'm only on week 1 and just completed day 4 -- Cardio Recovery and I didn't enjoy the workout and it is a let down from the others; if that makes any sense at all. I'll be going back to work in about 2 weeks (school teacher) and I'm thinking about…
  • Hello All ~ I just finished the Fit Test (day 1) and I'm wondering how you all are tracking calories burned? I bought a watch style HRM and it said that I only burned 30 calories... that can't be right, can it??? Also, those of you that have been at this a couple of weeks ~ did you increase your calorie count from the…
  • I'm In: Start Date: 7/16 End Date: mid-September Following Nutrition Guide: no Starting weight: 190ish Goal Weight (for insanity): 175-180 (I just want to complete the program and not die) I'm looking forward to the accountability and encouragement of this group.
  • I'm new to MFP and this is my first attempt at counting calories instead of points, but I've been recording my food choices for about 2 weeks and my choices are getting better!! I'm looking forward to learning from everyone here and seeing everyone's progress! 5'4" HW - 199.6 CW - 196.8 SW - 196.8 90 Day Goal: 166 Over all…
