I find lots of daily fluctuations are distracting - I only compare Sunday mornings each week to avoid this kind of issue. If you are consuming less than you burn (which from what you say I assume you have) you will lose weight over time. Celebrate the fact that you had an active weekend :-)

Welcome - I have only been here for a week myself, but I have found tracking what I am actually consuming really helps and the support I get from other members is very motivational. Your tag line 'One day at a time ...' says it all really :-)

Fabulous transformation - you are right to be delighted with your progress - wishing you well on the home straight! :)

Great story, great motivation - keep it up. I look forward to seeing those photos. :-)

Well done for losing the 7st Paul - a great achievement. I hope you finally nail that final 1.5st. :-)

It all depends on what weight loss goal you set yourself when you determined your daily calorie intake target. A 500 per day deficit equates to a 1lb per week loss average over time. If you baked this into your calories vs resting metabolic rate then you will lose even if you consume your exercise calories. Of course if…

As others have said there are inaccuracies - I always check items against the label the first time I use them - if it is within a few calories that is OK though.

Congratulations - fab result for your dedication and effort. Best of luck with the next month too! :-)
-
This is part of my plan too - I will join you. :-)

I am new too - been here a week. I have found it to be a great help in focussing myself both with the recording and with the encouragement I give and receive.

I think your big rewards are great - might be worth thinking about a series of smaller rewards to keep you motivated along the way - these need not be enormous or expensive. Examples - see a movie, walk through a national park with a friend, go bowling, go swimming, take a fragrance bath with a book, get a facial ... You…

Once a week is wise - I weigh every day, but will only record weekly.

I count it all! The only thing I would not is alcohol which may or may not have a negative water effect quite apart from the calories! :-)
-
Fantastic, well done - you look great! I disagree with your description though, this success is far from small - it is humongous, awesome and huge - keep it up!! :-)

Long time since I was a student, but I faced some similar issues with food. The suggestion to up your calories a little is a good one so you do not feel so under pressure. Frequent breaks are also a good idea and drinking plenty of water in those breaks and as you work. If you could also get some walking in that will help…

Fabulous - you are an inspiration

Welcome to the site - I am relatively new here too - it is a good motivation to record everything as you go and the social support is very helpful too.
-
Congratulations on your success for the first week - I hope it inspires you to continue.

Excellent work - I look forward to the day that I am as successful as you are. If you are still losing, no problem on the logging if you are managing things without, no need to beat yourself up over it - it is supposed to help you not control you - keep an eye on your weight though and perhaps you could try logging again…

Thank you for the support.

Wow - lots of people from UK on here - nice to meet you ! :-) Ian

Welcome here - I am new too - having friends is one of the key reasons to use the site to give and receive encouragement.

No problem taking a break from workouts so long as it is only a week, you remain on track eating wise and exercise a little walking the dog. If you are feeling tired perhaps you are overdoing it - might be an idea to workout 2-3 times a week to see if you can keep that up better over the long term. In any case you are…

4lbs lost is a great start - I am new here but finding it very motivating with peoples comments helping me out.

Now that is scary - a great incentive to get rid of the fat! :-)
