Clarinet is the instrument was professional trained on and played throughout middle and high school and I still play ocassionaly in the church orchestra. I taught myself to play saxophone and flute as well when my siblings got into band.

Right there with you. That was depressing! Put in your goal weight...it might help motivate...that's what I had to do before I started to cry! ;(

I started at 299.8. For me the biggest motivator is how much better I feel and the extra energy I have. I take measurements and photos and really try to see the little changes. For example, I am starting to see my colar bones! I also have family members that are supportive and tell me I look great. On top of that, my…

I eat my workout calories and there are times when I have to workout because I already ate too much for the day. If I didn't I'd be netting under 1,200 calories a day some days (not good!). There are some days when I flex my calories around a bit...like if I am over one day, I exercise the next day to make up for it and I…

Thanks everyone!

True! The next person likes to exercise.

None here! I have never liked them...That and I don't like needles. Its too permanent. There are all kinds of germs and infections. No thanks. Tattoo free is the way to be...for me.

I think I'd have to go with Leonard.

I have a little sterling silver mobius ring that says "The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step." I like it because it reminds me that this journey has to be taken one step and one pound at a time and it is never ending! It's also a reminder to track what I eat...like the classic string tied on your finger.

I stop mine as when I am done exercising. There is no magic number for me.

You could try some boxing or punching cardio from a seated position.

Sounds fun to me!

I started with 150 to lose...and I've lost 12. So Still got 100+ to lose! It's definitely not loney here!

I say up your calories, drink water, exercise, and eat your exercise calories. My first week, I didn't lose anything. I upped my calories, started exercising and eating my exercise calories and I lost almost 5 pounds the next week. The next week, I experimented with not eating my exercise calories and lost less that a…

I just got a Polar FT7 at D!cks's Sporting Goods yesterday. I think they made a mistake in their computer system because it's sticker price was $109, but it rang up for $59.99.

I haven't figured this one out either. I've had a fitbit, but just got a HRM yesterday. I decided to take the fitbit off with I was walking because I didn't want to mess up my calorie count.

Hi! When I started losing weigh because I saw 300 on the scale. When I started tracking on MFP I weighed 299.8 (just a couple weeks ago). I would like to lose 150 pounds total. Feel free to add me!

I just got a Polar FT7 today from D!ck's Sporting Goods. It was mark $109, but rang up for $59.99. So far, I like it! I burn less calories that MFP calculates though. It's good to know that because I generally eat at least some of the exercise calories back. It has a chest strap and transmitter. I found the strap to be…

I have it and love it!

Hi! I am looking to lose 150. I started at 300...I'm at 295.2 now. I would like to lose at least some weight for my Husband's 10th High School Reunion and a Family Reunion. Then, I am planning to do a warrior dash with my sister in september!
-
I want to join! I just finished day two!

I got one from my husband for Christmas, but I just linked it to MFP two weeks ago. I love it! I love that it syncs to MFP. It encourages me to walk. It encourages me to track my food and be healthier. LOVE IT!

Yes. He weights around 225...I weigh 299. I am working on changing that! We both hope that I will be smaller than him and maybe he'll be able to pick me up off the floor one day.
