I would be very disappointed if I didn't go for a run on my Birthday. Almost as disappointed if I didn't enjoy some cake on my Birthday as well.

You're my hero!

I don't even bother. It would be too stressful and time consuming to figure out every piece of food I put in my mouth that day ~ I guarantee it will be a lot. LOL. I don't worry about it for one day, I simply enjoy!

There are more than one C25K programs. The one I used started with only 2 minutes of running the first day. Maybe you could find one that starts out a little easier? Also, if you struggle one day, just repeat that day instead of moving forward. Congratulations to you for taking the first "step"! Running has changed my life…

I bet I consume more calories than that on Thanksgiving. It's the only dinner out of 365 dinners a year that I do that. No - I do NOT feel guilty. LOL.

Over the Summer, I just finished a 20-mile run on the bike path, and I guy I had ran past earlier, caught up to me while I was walking. He said, "You have the body of a tri-athlete." I guess that was his way of complementing me? LOL.

This is THE funniest post I've ever seen on here! Thank you for the smile and CONGRATULATIONS on your first 5K. After my first 5K, I thought "I'll never do THAT again" and now I am doing my first Marathon in less than 3 weeks! Be careful, the addiction will get you, too!

I was embarrassed at first too. Mostly because I am shy but the love of running got me thru any insecurities or worrying about what others thought. And, to be honest, I have NEVER seen another runner, walker, or biker on the path and thought negative thoughts about them no matter what their size, speed, abilities, etc. All…

Run five days, cross-train one day, rest one day. :)

The only thing I completely gave up was diet pop (I gave up the regular stuff a few years ago). Everything else I still indulge in, just in moderation.

Congratulations! You are beautiful.

Baked avocado. :(

Congratulations! I am addicted to racing, too. Not only is it always a fun experience, but a great motivator to keep training. Did you sign up for your next one yet? :)

You are a genius ~ thank you! I was trying to unlink via Garmin not MFP. Yay! Thanks again. :)

Well that was misleading....

Amazing ~ Congratulations!!

Bumping for later. Unfortunately, a lot of your story sounds like my current situation and I would like to read the responses here.

Congratulations! Are you trying out for he academy now?

I don't function unless I have coffee in the morning. So, no matter what, I have coffee. I always run before I eat. If I am doing more than 7 or 8 miles, I have something small like a banana or granola bar or I will literally run out of energy before I am finished with my run.

WOW, WOW, WOW! Amazing! Congratulations!

Thank You! I start training in less than two weeks. Very excited. I really believe you will be there too, one day. Probably sooner than later the rate you are going.

Goat cheese medallions.

I finished 30DS before I started c25k and I think that gave me a good cardio base to begin with. When I started running, I ran really SLOW but soon ditched the c25k program because it was too easy (and I had never run before in my life). I can still remember how proud I was of myself for running one mile without stopping…

Congratulations!! My goal is to do a Half in under 2 hours. So proud of you!

Congratulations! You look wonderful and an awesome story, too!

Congratulations! Awesome NSV!

I love green tea! It has not helped me lose weight however ~ my constant exercising and watching my calorie intake have done that.
