Just a quick update....it has only been 5 days but the wife has INCREASED her calories to 1600-1800 per day and has now lost 2 more pounds. I think there really is something to eating more helps you lose!

I think you need to see a therapist for this. This is a serious disease and you need the help of more than a public forum.

I wouldn't worry about it too much. I go over every day on protein and I still feel like I am not getting enough.

I can't tell you how much is water weight, however I will tell you this. I weigh up to 4 lbs less when I come back from a 3 mile run. I have tested this many times. So there is some definite water weight there.

Thanks for all the replies, We are going to try netting 1400 calories a day. This means eating about 1750 or so on exercise days. We will give it two weeks and see how it goes.

This....everyone is different....find what works for you

Spinning is an exercise bike. It is basically a stationary road style bike. You can set the tension on the wheel to simulate uphill climbs and such. We own one for when the weather is bad and we can't get outdoors. It is great because you can exercise and watch TV at the same time =). You can make the workout as intense or…

My wife and I just finished week 4 of Insanity today. Next week is the "recovery" week which is still a pretty hard workout. Then on to the final 4 weeks. Insanity has been great. The first week was tuff and i was sore everywhere. It gets easier but it will work you out and make you sweat! We have not missed a single…

Officially finished week 4 of Insanity today!

I agree and wouldn't count coffee as water. However I am not sure on the cold part. I have heard room temp water is the best....there is an argument for everything :).

Workouts are great. I really dig Insanity, I actually look forward to it everyday. I have never sweated so much in my life. The HIIT training really works. It has improved my running quite a bit as well and I was running over 3 miles a day as it was. Remember Shaun T doesn't want to hurt you, he just wants to make you…

I start week 4 of Insanity today. Has been fun. After I am finished with Insanity I am going to go through P90x. Turbofire is next up for the wife.

I still remember when all the doctors started prescribing phen-phen because it was such a great weight loss product. It had to be healthy because you had to be under a doctors care to get it right? Now all those people have to show for it is weight gain and life long heart problems. I understand everyone wants that quick…

It's very very import 'ant and make sure to keep your core tight! =)

One bit of advice....be careful buying insanity off of Ebay......may of them are bootlegged copies and some of the disks may not play properly.......guess how I know this =)

My wife and I are both on week 4 of Insanity. It is a very intense and INSANE workout. You will sweat! As to whether you can do it is really up to you. I will give you warning, there is A LOT of jumping in it. If you decide to do it, just remember to go at your own pace, you do not have to keep up with Shaun T at the…

I like Shaun T. at the moment since I am 3 weeks into Insanity. P90x is next!

People post about this everyday. I think you are doing yourself a disservice by not eating back your exercise calories. My wife and I both eat them back and we both are losing weight on a weekly basis. To each their own.

As everyone else has said, you are not eating enough. You are starving yourself . I consider 800 calories a day anorexia.

Giving up all that stuff sounds like a fad diet imo. I originally weighted 269 and lost over 70 lbs, I ate rice and potatoes almost daily (and still do). I just eat moderate portions and count my calories like everything else. Besides giving up bread, rice, and potatoes sounds miserable to me. The one thing I don't eat…

I eat them almost daily, just count the calories like anything else.

Great Value! Hahahaha

Everything causes cancer if you inject the rats with 3 times their body weight of a substance. This debate is as old as diet coke itself. If you enjoy it drink. I have only been on this forum for a couple of weeks but I initially started out at 279 and lost over 80 pounds. I drank a ton.......and I mean a ton of diet coke…

I have tried them on several occasions with different recipes. I finally gave up on them. I think they are horrible. Not worth saving the calories, just eat regular pasta in moderation.

For me personally I try to make sure there has been at least 2-3 hours between my last meal and my exercise routine, otherwise my stomach doesn't feel so good during the exercise. I typically eat lunch between 11-12 and I exercise from 3-4 everyday. Then dinner is around 5 or 5:30 and contains a lot of protein such as an 8…

That is a great accomplishment! Keep it up!

We eat them all the time (Smart Ones). They are good, some are pretty filling, and they all have low calorie counts. Plus it is easy to count calories this way. Yes they are high in sodium, but everything is nowadays unless you make it yourself.

I second that. Insanity is crazy hard! I sweat more in 30 minutes of Insanity than I do running 4 miles in the 95 degree heat.
