I too have this issue. Not so much with my mom, but with my friends. So, I always just say, "I have done extensive research for the past 2 years on fitness and I know what is or isn't healthy for me." And it seems to shut them up. Good luck!

I kept on an extra 15 pounds the entire time I was on Zoloft. I really hope that isn't why you stopped taking it. I get drained tuna pouches or cans, they are only 70 calories but they are 18 grams of protein which fills you up. I alternate with Swanson's white chick breast in a can because you're not supposed to have tuna all of the time. Basically anything with a lot of protein in it is what will keep you full. Or fiber. I'm doing a cleanse that requires a bowl of quinoa with chopped prunes, ginger and nutmeg. It is gross and I feel like a gnome. Lol.. it tastes like some type of plant.. But I sucked it up and ate it. Goodluck!

Same here! I was doing so good for like 2 weeks and then I just stopped exercising. I haven't eaten too too bad, but I did have an Arby's splurge the other night :/ We all struggle. Today to make up for it, I am eating like half of my daily goal only plus doing my exercise. Maybe I will teach myself a lesson this way.…

I like so many of you have also been mistaken for being pregnant. It was humiliating and once I even lied and told them that I'd just had my son a week ago even though he was 2 years old. I couldn't bring myself to admit that I wasn't. I stopped wearing form fitting clothes after that. Save them for when I'm skinny again :)

There is actually a thread/link somewhere on here where someone posted a link to a source PROVING that 1200 calories or even 1000 calories per day is FINE and that your body will not even come CLOSE to starvation mode so all of you people talking about anorexia need to hush.

MFP put me at 1210. I don't eat over that and I don't eat back my exercise calories! I'm 5'4" and 188lbs. Do what feels right. Personally, I'm not hungry at this amount so I'm fine, but if you're hungry, eat :)

That's unfair. I'm pretty sure I would know if I was starving. I eat when I'm hungry. Do you not see all of the things listed under snacks? I don't have them separated so that you can see when I eat them, but they are spread throughout the day. 1200 calories is not starving yourself. The 700-900 days was for a few days…

I am 5'4" and I was 145 pounds before I got pregnant. I wasn't really stressing too much about my weight at the time, but I also wasn't happy with it. Unfortunately, I live with my mom and brother right now. I've begged her to hide things or keep them in her room but she's not very helpful.
