Hello, I’m in my early 40s. I used to have a job where it required me to be on my feet for 8-9 hours. My new job (not really new, it’s been a year) has me sitting in a desk all day. Gained a few pounds due to being sedentary during the day. And a few more since the quarantine. I’m finding it difficult to lose the weight in…

Glad to see many MFPers are doing P90x. I will be starting my first session tomorrow and I'm wondering what everyone is logging for exercise. Approx how much calories will I be burning?

I'm eating just a little under 2000calories/day and losing 1lb/wk. I'm currently breastfeeding (exclusively) which adds 500 calories to my daily total and I try to walk 3 times/week for 60 minutes. I'm 5'8 and 138lbs.

I'm a SAHM and everytime I go in the kitchen (which is very often), I drink water. If you work at a desk, drink a lot of water in the morning. Pretty soon, you'll need to go to the bathroom. After each bathroom break, drink some more. You can also liven up your water by adding a lemon slice or cucumber and mint.

Congrats on your new baby! I had my 2nd one in May and now I'm back to my pre-pregnancy weight. However, I'm trying to lose the pounds I couldn't shake off with my 1st pregnancy. I have about 10lbs to go. Breastfeeding, walking and carrying the baby will definitely help you with your weight loss. If you're BFing, remember…

Hi, I know what you mean about the weekend. What I do is I plan all of our meals for the week. If we do go out for lunch or dinner during the weekend, I try to eat light at home and then have what I want at the restaurant. Or eat healthy at home and then have a salad and dessert at the restaurant. It's a matter of…

How old is your baby? Like PP said, if you have a newborn or young infant, it's best to start slow. However, if you have a much older baby, then you can start cutting your calories. I'm currently nursing and my baby is 4 mos. Once we hit the 3mos mark, I started to watch what I eat. That's when I joined MFP. My activity…

I like to remove some of the grills and put pesto sauce and top it with mozzarella. Then I bake it in 350 deg for 10 mins. Makes a yummy lunch!

For breakfast try greek yogurt with a banana, flaxseed and high fiber cereal. It gets me through the morning with no problem. For lunch and dinner, try a combo of roasted vegetables, mozzarella, green salad, tofu. You can also try cauliflower rice and stir fry tofu and veggies, lean cut of steak with a wedge salad, green…
