  • Stop drinking the ACV then..
  • Sure. But it's taking 20 episodes and Krillin dies.
  • Have you started any new exercise regime that would cause water retention? Or are you near ovulation or TOM if you are female? A week isn't long, and weight loss is not linear. If you're not weighing daily, you might not be seeing the natural fluctuations that occur.
  • Others have already acknowledged IF not being a magical fix, so I'll just share my experience. For years, like all of my high school and college years, I did 16:8 without realizing it was a thing. Just never cared for breakfast foods and wasn't hungry. Now that my job is a bit more demanding, and I'm not someone that can…
  • This. Meal timing is irrelevant to weight loss, so eat when you want to eat as long as it's within your calorie range. But you are wasting your time with the lemon water and green tea for weight loss benefits beyond a possibly just enjoying the taste.
  • Not from Racine, but from Wisconsin. I'm actually in the Green Bay area now.
  • As mentioned, enter your stats in MFP and follow the calorie goal. Don't bother with fads and cleanses. Essentially, it sounds like you need to learn how to eat properly with correct portion sizes. Going on fad diets will not teach you that, and you will be right back to square one once you go back to eating normally.
  • As someone that has gone through this, I agree. My ex-fiancé was content with playing video games all day while I wanted to go out and be active. Needless to say, I began to resent him because we no longer had the same interests. We essentially just became roommates, which inevitably led to the break up. OP, you're going…
  • Whoops. Definitely meant unhealthy. But you don't have to have a full blown eating disorder to have disordered eating or body distortion. However, those things can turn into an eating disorder. It might beneficial to speak to someone before it gets to that point.
  • This sums up what I also am thinking. You were offered rational advice and methods to lessen the overwhelmed feeling of a normal fluctuation. However, people are going to be less likely to be compassionate when the advice is ignored in lieu of drinking wine instead of eating because of a simple fluctuation, for example.…
  • I always considered it as well, but then my goals shifted away from weight loss and turned into harder to measure goals in fitness. I always told myself I would get a tattoo when I got my goal weight.. but that was almost ten years ago when I had an unhealthy goal in mind. I still want my tattoo though.. so who knows haha.…
  • I personally found iceburg to upset my stomach and romaine at times as well, but spinach was always a safe go to. But as mentioned, that was after a lot of testing. I ended up losing 12lbs during my first major flare ups, so I had to find out fast what worked and didn't. Of course, I'm not immune to flare ups, but…

  • When I enter strength lifting a a cardio option in MFP, Fitbit recognizes it and will override the workout for what you entered in the Fitbit App. With that being said, a Fitbit with HR is not an accurate method to measure weight lifting. You will get skewed results dependent on the time spent lifting and recovering due to…
  • I've resulted to drinking things like V8s in the past when flares were bad. Or taking a multivitamin to ensure I was getting the right micro vitamins while eating what I knew I could eat. Have you done any elimination diets to see what exactly is the triggering foods? Obviously you say salads, but have you narrowed it down…

  • I am thankful my PF is really laid back. I use mine for a treadmill and accessory work because I now have my own home gym. Plus, I just love people watching in a positive way. It's fun to see different types of people there and watch them improve over time. I know that happens at any gym, but given the beginner's market PF…
  • Unfortunately, it's your choice and no one else's. If you look for support from those closest to you, more often than not, you're going to end up disappointed. He has no obligation to stop and change how he eats just because you made the decision. With that being said, you have already successfully lost a good amount of…

  • Then find new professionals. You clearly aren't fine if you're looking for a quick fix, with horrible.. horrible side effects, because your self-esteem is tied to your weight. No one is going condone the use of Alli.
  • Tell yourself that you can do this. Even when you think you can't and "know" you can't, you can. As a depression sufferer myself, it can be a struggle to tell yourself you are worth it, even when the universe feels like it's saying otherwise. Start small. You seem to attach to methods and quit pretty quickly. You have to…
  • It's been like a whole week since the last ACV thread. It was bound to happen. OP, there is anecdotal evidence that it can help with digestive issues, but so far, no one has been able to provide scientific evidence of the multitude of claims aside from it can taste good when used properly.
  • Others have given good feedback, but I just wanted to add something that some find success with. You could possibly cycle your calories. On days you run or feel that extra hunger, eat a bit more to compensate while taking away a 100 or so calories from a different day can sometimes assist with hunger issues. This is all…
  • Even though they might catch on to what you're doing does not mean you need to talk about it to them in great detail. You can acknowledge their inquiries, but you don't have to divulge them on details if you chose not to At work, I barely talk about anything weight loss or diet related because it's becoming such a taboo…
  • I'm glad this one has the ability to be halved too, in case I need to. When I'm not used to stimulants.. it's a whole new world of weird side effects.
  • That's definitely a relief to hear, thank you! I did hear that the appetite suppressant goes away after awhile, thank god. Last thing I want to do is lose muscle gains from the last year due to quick losses. So I'm optimistic that the others will settle. If not, it's onto testing other methods/prescriptions. Thanks!
  • This. Just because it's not your TOM doesn't mean weight isn't impacted. Ovulation is known to cause water retention. In my case, my weight drop comes immediately following that as a whoosh, even though my logging was accurate the weeks before that. With that being said, I still reiterate my point that you're stressing…
  • I really like this idea and might implement it seeing that I run in the mornings, and I don't seem to take my pill until 8-9am. It's definitely an overall different sensation to get used to. I did go on a brisk walk last night and noticed the same out of breath sensation, so running before taking the pill may be my only…
  • If you're seeing results physically, why are you concerned by a number? Especially an increase that could be nothing more than a normal fluctuation.
  • Yep, doctor definitely warned me about that, and I'm already feeling the affects of it. Which can be equally troubling for long runs and fueling. But he offered a few suggestions such as eating in the morning before the pill kicks in and at night, when it wears off. Which is definitely doable for me. I will just have to…
  • Oh good to know! Apparently I misunderstood so I'm glad that lowering is an option if need be.
  • This. Pick one and stick to it. No one can 100% tell you which is more accurate. Just stick to the one you choose.
  • You don't want people telling you you're doomed.. but you already know the answer. You can't spot reduce, and that means controlling where you lose. As far as breasts, some say that building up the muscle underneath can make them look perkier, but not much can be done for size. It's why they invented push-up bras. As far…
