Do you eat fresh or frozen veggies? I will continue to eat my frozen broccoli, but I've been eating Great Value diced carrots in the cups for a long time and never saw anything suspicious. Does kind of turn me off though
-
Unfortunately, I love them.. Looks like I'll be buying them fresh and cooking them myself. If only that didn't sound so lazy lol.
-
They are in my spinach! :noway:
-
Good for you!!! I love Pepsi! Don't drink it though ahah
-
I'm jealous of all of you; I tried taking an adult multivitamin a few years back and it did nothing but make my stomach turn and send me running for the bathroom :frown:
-
Thank you to everyone who gave me legitimate responses and tips; didn't think a simple question would start so much unnecessary drama!
-
I  bud light.. and I enjoy my alcoholic beverages without guilt. I type this as I'm drinking a Seagram's Jamaican Me Happy

I was buying it to avoid the artificial crap haha so I'm glad you told me!

Seems like I sent the wrong message across. I'm looking for advice.. not sarcasm. Cut me a break. Eating on 1200 calories USED to work for me when I was not exercising. Now that I am, I'm not really moving on the scale nor am I feeling a difference in my clothing. I'm not quite sure how much to increase my caloric intake,…
-
Actually no.. I said it WAS working for me, but since adding exercise, I'm not seeing the results that I used to. I would just like to know the healthiest route to go from more experienced users here.. Geez.
-
Gross haha.

Ugh I've tried taking a multi vitamin before and I felt horrible! So I'm jealous of you; it made my stomach cramp and I kept feeling like I had to run to the bathroom.. No clue why.

You do realize that egg whites don't contain as much protein as a whole egg, right? You're cutting the protein in half by eliminating the yolk, which holds most of the nutrients. Many people believe that the yolk contributes to high cholesterol, however in moderation, whole eggs are very healthy for you. I like egg whites,…

If you're craving that carbonated deliciousness, try Fruit Water (by the makers of Vitamin Water.) They have AWESOME flavors, they're carbonated, do NOT contain aspartame, and have 0 calories, fat, sugars, sodium. They're so yummy! That helped me.

OMG.. I go through those phases! I brought ham and provolone roll ups (no bread) to work for 2 weeks and now I can't even look at ham! I don't prefer salads either because they don't quite fill me up enough for lunch, I like them as a small side addition to my dinner. I typically have one frozen low cal entrée a week (I…

I usually do romaine lettuce and baby spinach when I have salads with veggies. I had steamed veggies at a restaurant once that had black pepper and a little bit of garlic powder on them, so good!

Diet soda is full of artificial sweeteners (sugar turns into fat). Aspartame (found in most diet sodas) is TERRIBLE for you! A diet soda here and there is fine, but I would try not to make it a habit! And clear sodas are better for you than colas (I've heard something about the cola syrups). I have tried Fruit Water (by…

So I just googled it to see if it was even possible or good tasting and it was mentioned on a morning talk show as "protein pudding". You mix 6oz of nonfat plain greek yogurt with one package of low fat hot chocolate mix and it turns into pudding! YUM!
-
Cooked carrots Chicken breast Greek yogurt 1% milk Bananas Frozen chicken (I know.. I know..) Lowfat cheese sticks Eggs Low-carb cereal Diced pears
-
I feel like in the summer, lighter meals are better for me only because the humidity and heat where I live bothers my stomach! But cereal is defeinitely a great option! I should try putting the Special K Fruit and Yogurt in there.. It has clusters of yogurt covered fruit! YuM!
-
Where do you find sugar-free strawberry glaze?! I HATE strawberries but LOVE strawberry sauce I just stay away from it because of the sugars!
-
I've never done this but do you think maybe doing a hot chocolate mix would work just the same?? That doesn't have thickeners and would add a nice flavor!

So I took everyones advice and cut back on the 1/2 cup of granola I was going to use and substituted it for 1/4 cup of old fashioned oats with a sprinkle of cinnamon. Unfortunately, it still brought me up a lot in carbs, but lowered the sugar!
-
I hate that bananas have so much sugar, but it's all natural so I don't beat myself up over it. Oats sound so great!!! I will definitely try that! The granola I will be using is 9g of sugar, which isn't horrible, but it's pretty high in carbs.
-
Those are all great healthy choices (most of your veggies are greens which are fantastic sources of fiber and other nutrients). Try to incorporate some more protein, such as cottage cheese or try Special K Protein Plus (it's 10g of Protein per serving and is low-carb). A lot of what you listed would be amazing in addition…

Haha, I used to have the Fiber One mocha bars and boy did my belly twist and turn for a few hours after. I've been having the brownies/small bars lately and those only have 5g of fiber per bar and it's much easier on my belly, since I get fiber from other meals throughout the day as well
-
No it's the way people word things; people don't have to have sarcasm in their disagreements or make people feel foolish for thinking a certain way or having a certain opinion. Maybe I could of worded my opinion better, in that sense I understand.

Unfortunatly, I suffer from OAS (Oral Allergy Syndrome) and am unable to eat fresh tree fruits due to them making my mouth and throat super itchy.. so I'm limited on my fruits. I typically buy the Blueberry Oikos, but need to switch it up. And what is the daily dose of Fiber One? Because I've been eating their…
