This is awesome! I can't wait to join you in Target Weight Land. It must be a lovely feeling. Keep rockin' it!

Me too. I don't think I'll be getting many points on this challenge for the week. That being said...I plan to rack 'em up here and doing lunges!

Hi Gryffs -- I've been pretty non-existent in the forums and the common room this week. Life has been crazy, to say the very least (my brother was visiting from out of state, my car had to have some major repairs, my basement flooded for about the 6th time, and it's finals week...) I promise to be more active starting…

Or at least buy me a drink! I may be easy but I'm not cheap. Geez.

Absolutely. I will probably consume my entire days worth of calories in one sitting. And that's ok. I will be right back to counting and exercising the next day. And I still plan to log Thanksgiving day, just for the sick pleasure of seeing what I usually consume.

Nope. You're not alone. I've never been my goal weight before (or at least when I was I don't remember it...I think I was in the 9th grade or something maybe) so I don't actually know what my body will look like. It's hard for me to keep working towards that goal sometimes because I can't even picture myself thin since…

Exactly. I love people watching at the gym. I'm sure people judge me when I come in straight from work with makeup and earrings on, but I just get my butt on the elliptical and bust through my workout. If I provide entertainment to others, then I'm happy to help!

God bless Michigan for not putting that on their DL. Mine is thankfully not listed. I also have the same picture from 9 years ago.

I have such anger issues that it's probably better this happened to you instead of me, because I'm pretty sure I would have murdered her right then and there. I despise rude people and just because she has the right to 'freedom of speech' doesn't make what she had to say any less tacky, rude, disrespectful, etc. and it…

I'm the opposite. I've found that certain things (like the string cheese that I eat every morning for breakfast) tastes more salty than it did before. The good news is that it causes me to drink about 3-4 glasses of water with my breakfast. I haven't had this problem, but I'm interested to see if anyone has an actual…

Welcome back! Feel free to add. :flowerforyou: Good luck to you!

I steam my asparagus and just sprinkle it with some salt and pepper, and maybe a spritz of I Can't Believe It's Not Butter spray. It's delicious if you sautee it with some onions, peppers, and tomatoes in a little bit of olive oil and some seasoning (again, I keep it pretty simple with just salt and pepper).

I work full time, go to school full time, and I still manage to make it to the gym 5 days a week to work out for at least an hour a day. If I can do it, you can too! You've already admitted that you have everything you need: the time (2 hours in the afternoon without kids), the equipment (in your own home, no less! You…

When I do 30 minutes wearing my HRM I only burn roughly 100-150 calories. I'd be very careful with this exercise and the calorie counter on both the machine and MFP.

Don't wait for tomorrow to turn it around, start this very second. You can still get a good workout in and burn some of those calories off. Go for a walk. Do some jumping jacks. Every little bit of exercise will help. Drink plenty of water to flush some of that crap out of your body. If you were driving in the wrong…

I'm one of three people in the entire office. The other two leave at 430 and I'm stuck here until 530. I've received one email since returning from lunch at 1pm, and it was from the executive secretary who was telling me (and everyone else in my department) that he was going to be out until December 1st. In other words,…

If I didn't have time to "play all of the silly games that come up in this message board" I wouldn't have time to respond to your post, either. So, ya win some ya lose some.

I love you.

I'm not dreading it at all. I plan to work out next Sunday-Wednesday and I'll take Thursday off from the gym (since it's closed) and enjoy myself. Then I'll be right back at it the next day. Like someone else said, if you go over on one day, then just make sure you're not going over every other day that week. Drink plenty…

I don't run, but I have had painful hip joints after a long go on the elliptical. I just make sure that I stretch really well right after my workout, and the most important thing I've found is to make sure you don't skip your workout the next day. You might have to tone it down a bit (walk instead of run) but make sure…

I don't think the temperature is relevant. Just drink it! :drinker:

I have friends who will say things to me like 'You're not becoming anorexic on me, are you?' (At 280+ lbs I'm pretty sure the answer to that is an obvious no!) It's gotten to the point where I will just say something about a certain goal that I have. 'Nope, just trying to drop a few pounds before my brother's wedding' or…

Feel free to add me as well. I still have about 120 to lose, so I feel your pain, frustration, determination, etc.

Someone just recently posted before and after pics of her journey (I believe it took her 5 years) and she has PCOS. Might want to look at her posting just to get a little visual motivation to see that it can be done!

Feel free to add me. I'm a daily logger, as well.

I have a red fish seasoning that I picked up from the grocery store that is delicious. But I've also used just a tad of lemon juice, salt, and pepper before. It's good either way!

Yes, I do love a man in uniform. But I also love a man in a suit. And a man in a nice pair of jeans and a dress shirt. And a man in just about anything. Just not all at once!
