I just commented on a similar thread about this earlier this morning. It happens all the time where I work. Maybe we work in the same building...?

It irritates me more when I go in to the bathroom at work and there's someone in the stall, going to the bathroom, and talking on their phone. I think it's rude for the rest of us who aren't exactly public pee-ers!

The crab legs aren't what's bad for you, it's the drawn butter that you dip them in... If you can stay away from that, then you'll actually do fairly well by eating the crab legs. Yes, they're pretty high in sodium, but you can help make up for that by drinking extra water that day. And yes, you're right in that eventually…

I use fat free cottage cheese, fat free sour cream (1/2 a container of each for every 1 packet of seasoning) and a packet of hidden valley ranch dip seasoning to make a veggie dip. I hate the taste of fat-free anything, so the dip seasoning masks that and makes it a great dip for my broccoli, carrots, celery, etc. Laughing…

Elliptical, hands down. I love mine! It burns more than the exercise bike, too. (At least I'm pretty sure) Anyway, check Craigs List and things like that, because you can usually get a good deal on stuff like this. Good luck and happy exercising!

I bought my Calphalon set from Bed Bath and Beyond when they were having a sale and I had a 20% off coupon. It was close to $150 after taxes and everything, but I got the 12 piece set I believe. Let me just say it has been worth every penny. You have to hand wash them (the dishwasher warps them and they don't sit on the…

I only lost about 6 pounds total the entire time I was doing the 30DS, but the inches I lost were what mattered the most. I lost a ton around my midsection and stomach, my thighs, and my butt. Hang in there. It's not all about that dreadful scale.

Probably walk around my house naked for a good week or so. Then I'll be heading out on a much needed (and deserved!) shopping spree. :drinker:

I'm the opposite. I'm stuck with a gym that is smaller and has less equipment, more restricted hours, etc. My advice to you is to find one machine that you like and start there. For me, it was the elliptical machine. I started out doing 20 minutes a day on that, and built it up one extra minute per day, until I was at…

They worked for me! I drove straight through from Michigan to Florida (after working a 10 hour day) and these little puppies helped keep me awake. I was obviously tired once I got there and slept like the dead for a couple of hours, but I think they work really well. I hate the taste of energy drinks, but this wasn't like…

9 times out of 10 I'd say music, but there are those certain shows that come on and I can workout on the elliptical for an hour and not even realize it!

Try opening up your diary to see if others can help you with some of your food choices. To be honest, if you're working out 5 days a week you should be eating more than 1100 calories a day. Hang in there; your hard work WILL pay off eventually.

Same here! Plus, isn't it more of a pain in the butt to shave your legs once the hair gets longer (I suppose I'm assuming these people will EVER shave their legs). For me, if I don't shave my legs every day (or at least every other day) it gets to the point where it's irritating me. Gross.

I weigh far more than you do so I'm not sure this response will help you, but I burn roughly 200-250 calories doing the 30 day shred. I enter it in as general circuit training because that amount seems to be about what I burn when wearing my HRM. Good luck!

I bring baggies of fruit and vegetables. (Carrots, an orange that's pre-peeled but not sectioned out, an apple that's cut but kept together so it doesn't turn brown, etc.) I also really like the fiber one bars and brownies (the 90 calorie ones are really actually quite good).

I grew up in Bowie! Lived on Nicholas Place for yeeeeeeaaaaars. And here I thought no one would ever know where that was/is...

Try Amazon. I found this one when searching just now. It's a little expensive, but a good investment! http://www.amazon.com/My-Weigh-XL-550-Talking-Bathroom/dp/B0014ZQH84/ref=sr_1_2?s=hpc&ie=UTF8&qid=1317220131&sr=1-2

What about an at home breakfast sandwich? An english muffin, a couple slices of bacon or turkey bacon or ham, an egg, and a slice of cheese. You can adjust it to make it higher or lower in calories, depending on what you like. I typically go with the high fiber english muffin, a slice of 2% cheese, one egg "fried" with a…

Pasta! No, chocolate! No, pasta! Mmmm... pasta...

I have the same exact schedule as you, right down to the job(s) and school. My advice to you is to find a time that works best for you and stick with it. That sounds pretty simple and straight forward, and it is. For me, it only took one week to realize that working out early in the morning was not something I could stick…

Yes, I would be mad. As a professional courtesy (not to mention the friend code) he/she could have, and should have, come to you and said 'Hey I found this error.' What he or she did was inconsiderate. I don't think I would go to the boss and say 'Here are all the past mistakes that he or she made' because then that…

Alternating slouch socks over the tight rolled pants. (Oh goodness, what was I thinking?!) Side ponytail (accompanied by the ever popular scrunchie, of course) or the banana clip and big hurricane bangs. I definitely had one of those airbrushed t-shirts that you get at the boardwalk or on vacation that said something about…

30 is the goal, but I'd be happy with any significant loss and no gain! :drinker:

I have several: 1. When I was babysitting the kids across the street and one of them looked at a picture of me and said "That's from when you were skinny. Now you're fat." (we had a lesson on tolerance and what not to say to people after that, but it still hurt) 2. When I went to an amusement park and didn't ride a ride…

Every day for 9 months, but that was before they had the "in a row" feature on the site. Since they implemented it, I think I'm at about 55.

I think I lost approximately 6 pounds in one month. I lost 4 inches off of my thighs and almost 6 inches off of my midsection. Keep it up, it's worth it.

I'm on my last semester of classes before I start writing my thesis. Feel free to add me. I know what it's like to try and plan a day of eating/exercising around a schedule that is crazy hectic!

Try opening up your diary to let others see the choices you're making. Sometimes there are reasons that you can't see right away (too much sodium, too much sugar, etc.) that others can point out to you. Are you drinking enough water? Are you eating back some of your exercise calories? There are lots of reasons you could be…
