Once a week is probably the best.

Conventional wisdom says 1 pound of fat is 3500 calories. Keep in mind you need to eat to lose weight. And you need to eat to gain muscle.

She is horrible. She is a total downer not only to herself but that entire team. I missed last night so I will have to catch up.

One more thing. Try going for a 10 or 15 minute jog to get your heart rate going before you start. This will help you get closer to the "fat burning zone". And you'll be warmed up. Good luck.

The work out looks good but I would reduce your jump roping to 30 seconds so you aren't as fatigued. Then you can increase the repetition. Also you have Upper body back to back. Consider starting at the top and working down or doing a push/pull. So push ups the pull ups or bent over row. Then go to core abs then a lower…

Like what?

You look amazing. Stick with good eating habits and get exercise in when you can. I try to incorporate exercise in with my kids. I have them follow me on their bikes while I run. Or run the timer for me while I circuit train.

Relax. There are lots of people that turn to food for comfort. And even when you start reaching fitness goals you may do it again. The thing to rememnber is that you can always try and find the strength to do an extra 10 minutes of cardio or walk an extra couple of blocks. Tomorrow is a new day and as long as you're…

Yes it is. Just take one day at a time. Some days you have to take one meal at a time. Do your best to plan meals and get suggestions from friends here. Add me if you would like.

I go with Sixx A.M. And some stuff like that. Or seven dust.

I agree. Intervention may be more of a priority in this situation.

Alcohol is empty calories.

The general rule of thumb is anything after 30 minutes in the "fat burning zone" is when the body starts burning fat.

When I got my shoes fitted they told me these are the shoes you need. We prefer you buy them here but if you don't please just get them. Or it may result in damaging your feet. The sales person's honesty alone made me want to buy them there.

I am someone that used to say I'm not built for running. I compare myself to a refrigerator running down the street. However, I have become a runner. I can run 7 miles now at a 5mph pace. It's not track star speed by no means but I still call it running. So I say this. If u want to run than run. Get a heart rate monitor.…

Welcome MFP! Good luck with your goals. I run, lift weight and do circuit training. Feel free to look me up for ideas or questions.

Good morning everyone.

That's great. I'm going to try my first half in April. Good luck!

Congrats on the new PR. Don't worry about speed. The wall paper on my cell phone says no matter how slow you go, you're still lapping people on the couch. Keeping sub 12 is a great pace. Congrats again. Keep up the good work.

It makes no difference to me.

That's so funny. It takes me the first mile at least to get a rhythm. Does anyone have any suggestion for shin sprints on longer distances?

I like to work out to rock. Songs like "say you'll haunt me" or something by Theory of a dead man or nickel back. When I run I listen to Pitbull. The upbeat tempo lets me keep time a little better.

You can do body weight exercises and add a resistance band. In these situations you're limited only by creativity. If you have Facebook, Kim Dolan Leto has a number of articles and videos that offer a number of ideas.

Take a deep breath. I made a similar decision when I decided to get divorced from my spouse of 15 years and we have 4 children. I felt horribly guilty. The decision was very difficult but we had come to different places in our lives and we grew into people on two different paths during our 15 years together. My ex has…

I bought the Garmin Forerunner 110. If you're running for fitness it's great. It's a little pricier but I have seen the newer models of Garmin for significantly less at stores like Costco and Sam's. You also get the Garmin Connect which is great for tracking progress.

If you like the guy there's no reason to play hard to get. Keeping that in mind there's nothing wrong with taking things as slow as you want though. The relationship has to be beneficial to both people or there is no reason to stay in it.

Running does wonders mentally and physically. The key to running is duration and monitoring your heart rate. Maintaining a training heart rate zone is key.
