You shouldn't net lower than BMR, which is what you do if you eat at that level and do anything besides be in a coma.

Lol, yes. If I work out (and I need to more often) I'm eating those calories. I'm committed to this, but I like my food and I'm not giving everything up

If you're set at a reasonable deficit and you go over by just a little, nbd in my book. If you're consistently over by a lot, not so good. Personally though, I will eat when I am hungry.
