Could also be your thyroid returning to normal maybe, too?

I think it's common with postpartum thyroidism to go from under active to overactive. I sufferered from overactive after my last pregnancy - weight went from 11stone to 8.5 stone in about 5-6 months (fantastic babybweight loss I thought until I started feeling the symptoms months down the line) Get your bloods checked to…

I use the BBC Good Food site a fair bit for inspiration and go by the reviews on there as to what may be nice-plus they have a 'healthy' section. It has the added bonus of having the calories on there, too.

I'm from the UK too. Feel free to add.

That sounds interesting and healthy. Is it filling?

I swapped chocolate bars for chocolate covered rice cakes (53cals) instead of 200. You can get them in health food shops like Holland & Barrett, although they're a bit ££. Once I've exhausted my stash I'll do plain rice cakes with Nutella on them.

Peppered mackerel fillets mashed with natural yoghurt, squeeze of lemon and chopped parsley makes a nice pate. This is a family favourite, although not calorie friendly: http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/1363637/indonesian-fried-rice-with-mackerel

I'm in the UK too and you can pick up cup measuring spoons for a few £s is larger supermarkets. A cup is 250ml, half cup 125ml and so on. I get confused when measuring things like berries in cups as there is lots of air in-between. I do find lots of the values in the database have grams an option so it's not too bad.

Thanks for the encouragement! It's great having the food diary to see in black&white where I could be going wrong and it is certainly making me think twice about reaching for food (or the kids leftovers). Hopefully seeing others' stories/goals reached will provide further motivation. Hope you all reach your goals!
