Yes, it's been slow going, but I haven't really been putting much effort in the working out part, just staying in my calories. I need to get off my butt though!

I'm in! Same stats as you!

sent a request. My name is Candace

I'm in! Sounds like fun, but yeah, I would have to do it without the cash motivation.

I think you read that wrong. The PP was saying her own story was not a NSV or a V, not that the OP's story wasn't.... And good for you OP!

Since you are weightlifiting in addition to cardio that may be why you aren't losing. Have you taken your measurements? That is a better indicator than the number on the scale. Do your clothes fit differently now than when you started?

My oldest is named Lydia. I picked it while watchig Innerspace (bad bad bad 80's movie) and that was Meg Ryan's characters name.

Thank you for sharing your story. I was brought to tears a few times reading it. You can so do this!!

2 miles done on my lunch break

My destination is Boulder, CO. That is where my in-laws live and we moved to NM a year ago and our goal is to ultimately get back to Colorado, boudler being the ideal place :-) It is exactly 562 miles from my door to theirs.

That definitely sounds like fun!! Count me in!

Make sure you are drinking enough water through out the day. You should be drinking at least 1/2 your body weight in ounces of water. Also, make sure you are taking your measurements. Even though you don't see the number change on the scale your body IS changing. You said it yourself. :-) And remember, it's not about the…

Thank you!! Yes, I am loving my new lifestyle!! My biggest fear is I will start eating crap again to fill the missing calories. But that will be my own demon to fight (and I WILL)

I'm currently at 32DDD and I have yet to find a good sprts bra that works well when I am running/working out. I just use my regular bras and tighten the straps up a little higher than normal and that seems to work well for me. My boobs don't really move a whole lot (at least not annoyingly so) when I do this. I know other…

what a great story and an awesome reminder to not be a "slave" to the scale! Great job and you look amazing!!

Oh and you can add in a little salt and pepper to taste if you want. I did just a pinch of salt and a little more pepper :-)

I made an awesome eggplant stir-fry the other day. Make up a cup of Quinoa. Sautee Onions in a little bit of olive oil. (I then added kielbasa but you don'thave to do this step if you don't eat meat) I cut up the eggplant in about 1 inch pieces, added that to the onions and kielbasa and threw in a bit of frozen spinach and…

I am in the same boat! I agree, it's best if you log what you are eating. You may not be getting enough calories in so your body is hanging on for dear life. Also, maybe try to change things up a bit. Sometimes only chicken is not what it takes. I read recently that there are some people that chicken is NOT the meat to eat…

I can definitely relate to this. I have started talking a walk around where I work on my lunch break. I figured it's better that sitting at my desk reading trashy gossip sites ;-) I also have been really strict with myself in forcing me to go the the gym Saturday and Sunday. Like you said, an hour away is better than doing…

Hi Aimee - not sure where in the Denver area you are, but I'm in the Westminster area.

Hi Carla - I have been on here sporadically, but just now getting back into the swing of things. I like your outlook and it looks like we have the same goals. I have an almost 9 month old as well, so trying to lose the baby weight. Feel free to add me if you like :-)

I have been feeling the same way that you do and my schedule is not NEARLY as crazy as yours. I have an hour commute daily to work, work 9 hours have to feed the baby, make dinner for the husband (cause he "can't cook"), clean up the kitchen/house, get the baby ready for bed and by the time I'm done I am just wiped! I…

I'm a full time working mom of an almost 9 month old. None of my friends IRL have kids, so it is hard for them to relate to the struggle. Even my husband gets in the way (cause he still gets to do all the stuff he did before we had kids, but going to the gym gets put by the wayside cause I have to take care of the baby…
