I personally believe in "starvation mode", as it's called, as a metabolic slowdown, not a complete stop. Theoretically it makes sense a body would stop burning at a fast pace if it were concerned. Personally I've experienced much more weight loss on 1500-1600 calories when I lost 70 lbs previously. But I suppose my…

That is what I'm trying, thank you.

I did redact, because I remembered how crappy and rude the answers I've gotten on MFP have been in prior years. Totally discouraging. I would have prefered to delete but there was no option. 1300 was the goal MFP set me for losing 2 lbs per week. I answered the questions honestly. I have been eating back half of my…

To get through T25! It's the next level program for me!

That is a lot! Calories are absorbed through the mouth, NOT the stomach. So even if it's not swallowed you still will get calories (which is why like PP said it is about five). I chew gum to subside mindless eating but not 24/7.

This is older, but I LOVE turbo jam. Turbo fire is fun too, but I have some cardiac issues that keep me from being able to go as fast as they do. They both come with a ton of DVDs so you don't get bored, and TJ is great for beginners! I give it credit for 40 lbs I lost!

People say to deduct 300, but honestly I found I didn't burn ANY extra calories from breastfeeding! I would just keep an eye on your weight as long as your milk supply and go from there!

I'm a little over 5'6 and my first goal is 150! I was that weight for a longgg time and still slipped into a size 3/4. I think I'll want to be a little lower once I get there, but we'll see!

This doesn't make me grind my teeth at all. *eye roll* No, nobody 'should' gain 60 lbs while pregnant. But I did while on bed rest for 8 months. Technically nobody 'should' gain any of the extra weight we have but people don't generally running around saying that... OP, congrats on your baby! Please don't worry about the…

I'm saying screw it and go for it. I've done basically the same recently, what you're saying is that your not really 'increasing' drastically depending on your TDEE. Example: MFP had me set at 1300. I lost 40 lbs, but I have been stuck on my last 20 with only losing 2 lbs in a month. I'm trying to get out of this plateau…

I have one just under 1.5. I gained 60 lbs on an entire bed rest (NOT counting what I lost instantly when she was born ;) ) and about 10 right before pregnancy. I have lost 40 so far! My wedding is in 3 months and hope to kick as much more as I can by then!

I still have mine but after losing 40 lbs its gone down A LOT. I'm crossing my fingers it will go away with my last 20-30 and it looks promising. I had a c section and gained 60+ lbs (not including the 40 I lost instantly from giving birth!). I think the fact that I only had my highest weight a short time helped. I'm also…

On behalf of my male counterpart, he wore 32s at 6'0 and 170-175 lbs.

Well thanks for your really unhelpful advice, but I didn't actually say I wasn't going to discuss it with my cardiologist. But there's nothing to discuss if I don't have anything in mind. Ana- I would be interested in suggestions for macros. I have never tracked them. Also, most of my fatigue is directly from my…

I just finished 55 minutes of Turbo Fire. When I started my journey in June I couldn't even do 15 minutes of the first workout. Between then and now I found out I have multiple heart conditions and have still continued, even when completely discouraged. :D

I have a pair from victoria's secret that are very similar to the under armour ones and don't ride up.

I don't understand why you're not discussing this with your doctor. As someone who's 21 with heart conditions, I'm very thankful for my heart medication (including one that's a combo for BP). Ask for different medicine? Ask her for alternate lifestyle changes that don't include medication? I didn't do well with my 1st…

I just dropped my 100 calorie popcorn. :o

I eat a ridiculous amount of these. My favorites are Smart One's breakfast burritos (although not too filling outside of breakfast) chicken and fries in the crisping tray (also pretty small, good with bolthouse farm ranch), Lean Cuisine meatloaf. Jimmy Dean pulled chicken BBQ sliders are pretty tasty for frozen BBQ.

I buy A LOT (an embarrassing amount) of prepackaged food. I am eating 100 calorie kettle corn right now and have a stash of microwave meals in the freezer. I'm not too good eating home cooked meals, although I have found when I cook from skinnytaste or skinnymom and they already calculated nutrition, I usually don't have…

That is too much too fast. The highest 'recommended' rate of loss is 2 lbs per week, and too my knowledge that's more realistic if you have a large amount to lose. I don't think you actually 'need' to lose 11 lbs by Valentine's Day. You will be better off losing it the healthy way and not rushing.

You look great! And I just loveee your hair!

Excuse me while I go work out. These are ALL amazing.

This made me tear up! Wonderful job!

This topic sure is close to home for me! I also have HBP and weird heart rhythm thingys. I am also only 21 so I know what it's like to be at the cardiologist looking like a baby ha, it really is kind of odd! I have an enlarged heart on one side, and had a heart cath, but NO open heart surgery so please take this advice…

Thank you, very helpful!

I use a HRM with a band and just put it under the bottom band of my bra with no issues.
-
TL;DR. Sorry lol. I skimmed. I have lost 40 lbs with only Turbo Jam and have 20 to go. I have a heart condition and Turbo Fire is too hard for me (for now). Love them. I've never stuck to anything like TJ! I am 5'6 and went from 210 to 170.

Thanks for the replies! Deads as in deadlifting? Lifting isn't quite my thing yet...someday ha. I also can't do a push up or pull up. Which is slightly why I'm put off from lifting. I wanted to start 5x5 but can't invest in any equipment yet. Cherimoose I'm not doing any kind of strength training. It's just part of my…
