What you are doing, losing weight, will help as much as anything.

MLM and pyramid schemes are not the same things...I cannot believe I got sucked back into this ridiculous thread.

If you get home and can't sleep, work out then.

Before - 225, Now - 195.

I've done Insanity and P90X. Love them both.

I had a mastiff and they are great dogs, but they can literally eat a couch. We had one that grew out of this stage. How old is the dog? Also, does he have any toys that he is allowed to chew on? I would suggest a very very large bone, the you can get at a pet store or butcher shop.

When I found a program that works for me and keeps my interested. And when walking to bed made me winded. January, 11 2011.

Great job Joe, keep kickin' it! I have been through P90X twice and love the program.

In this case disregard my comment about setting aside runnig. I thought you were going to try to do a daily run. I have been running 8 miles on the off days and it's working out pretty well.
-
Through the first 35ish days the workouts are 45 min or less, the last 25ish days they get longer, up to 60 min. Trust me, you will be a better runner when you are done with Insanity, but you may want to set the running aside for the next 60 days.

Unreal!! Great work!

Thanks. I just looked at last years results for this same race and my time was 9:23/mile. P90X and Insanity have completely changed me...and there is much more work to be done.

I always fall asleep in the tanning bed.

46 in December, good thing I found this thread before then.

As good as the program is, I think the infomercials give some people unrealistic expectations of what one round of P90X can do. For some of us it will take much more time to be infomercial material. Keep at it, you will get there.
-
I can only tell you my experience with P90X. The first round I lost 20 lbs. Started at 225 dropped to 205. Most of this came off towards the end of the program. While my expectation was that I would lose more, I was pleased with the changes in my body. I recently completed a second round and didn't lose any weight, but…

If Shaun T sounded like Tracy Morgan that would drive me crazy, wouldn't be able to listen to him.

WOW, really amazing!!!

Great job, Jill!

It's a lot of fun and sweating. Where ever you are fittness-wise, doing Insanity will improve it. We just started a close FB 90 Day Challenge Group on April 2nd for people doing Beachbody programs. If you are interested in joining, let me know and I will get information.

You won't know how which weights you want until you start the program and decide what your goals are, building or toning. I have several dumbbells setup with various weights so that I don’t have to change them out during the workout. Before you go out and spend a bunch of money on weights, do some of the programs and sort…

Why not both?
