I'm in for 115 miles!

make sure if you are adding exercise on MFP while wearing the FitBit that you enter the exact time you started and stopped. This will adjust the calories from FitBit

Jossee- you better not unfriend me (again ;) for this, but I am currently at 674 on my shoes. 128 lbs, mid foot strike. I always go off of feel as my guide for needing new shoes. I don't tend to injure easily, and I know that shin splints is my queue for new ones. Last pair, I got almost 800 miles on

I've maintained my loss of 35lbs for over 2 years now. When I started, I didn't do anything outrageous or crazy in terms of dieting. I just started eating cleaner, less processed foods. That has carried over into my maintenance. I exercise regularly....at least 5 days a week. I am a runner, logging about 20 miles a week,…

Feel free to adde me. I've run 3 HM, 1 Marathon, and training for a 50 min or less 10k in October :)

Day after long runs are usually rest days for me

I also use hummus, or salad dressing (a low cal greek yogurt dressing). I don't eat sliced lunch meat. I prefer cooked chicken breast. higher protein, lower sodium, better for you. I also always load up with veggies in mine. Spinach, bell pepper, red onion, cucumber, and avocado

I am always hungy too. It seems that the more I run, the hungrier I get. As long as you are giving your body the right stuff, you are doing it right

I missed last months goal of 100, mostly because of post marathon ITBS. Hoping for 75 for June. My kids are out of school, and it's making it hard for me to get out for a run.
-
I started the year with 2 running goals. 1. run my first marathon....done 4:33:06 2. run 1000 miles by 12/31/14. I'm at 510 so far I think I want to go for a 1:50:00 half in November. Current PR for this course is 1:55:45

I run, so feel free to add me too
-
You got this, Shirley! I'm in for 100

I am 10 days away from my first full marathon. I have been eating at maintenance the whole time and eating back about half of my calories burned most of the time. I haven't gained or lost a single pound. my weight has definitely fluctuated some, but always ends up back at my normal weight. I would say to listen to your…

7:05 is my PR work on distance before speed. Once you can run 3 miles in under 30 min, I'd say start working on speed. BTW, a 5 min mile is FAST! not many people can do that

It goes away after the run as soon as I stretch. After that, it is just a slight soreness (from the high mileage run itself, I assume). The pain is close to the private area, but stretches all the way over to my hips. It's painful on both sides equally. Not sore to the touch. comes from inside. Like I said, I ONLY get this…

I am training for my first marathon in May (OC Marathon, Anyone??) I will add you...it's always nice having new MFP friends working on the same goals :)
-
I can't offer you any sound advice, as I am in the same boat :) Although, I have never done any triathlons. My first Marathon is in May. Happy Training and feel free to add me :)
-
I hit my goal today of 100 miles for the month! woohoo!
-
I hope it's not too late, being that it's already the 21st. I already added myself to the spreadsheet and filled in to get up to date. Next month, I will be on time :) Thanks!

What I love about running..... *the emptiness my body feels after a long run *race day and the sense of accomplishment knowing that all the training has paid off, even if the goal is just to cross the finish line *planning routes *getting my "me time" during my runs *soreness after a run *salt streaks on my face *getting…

I am training for my first full (OC Marathon) on May 4. Friend requests welcome :)

It's been a while since I did this challenge, so I'm excited. I'm in for 85

I've been on Maintenance for a little over a year now. I lost 30lbs with clean eating and running. I don't plan on stopping my food or exercise logging. Why stop something that has been working for so long?! Feel free to add me :)
-
I would put your goal to lose .5 per week. It is going to take longer since you don't have that much to lose. If you are exercising, your body needs more than 1,200 calories a day. I think that you should be eating AT LEAST 1,600 a day. I am 130lbs 5'3 and eat 1,800-2,000 a day at maintenance. there are a lot of TDEE and…

I remember that NSV as well. Keep it up. Soon you'll be entering 5k races :)
-
Completely rude and unnecessary!! Sheesh.....really?! Sorry, OP. I don't have any awesome advice, other than to lift heavier. Just wanted to call out rude dude
-
I did them both in 1 day. It took like 45 minutes. I was curious to see how far I had come. Glad I did it, although after doing 56 (40lb) squats and 49 swiss ball crunches, I was tired and sore.

Age: 32 SW: 161 CW: 127 Start date: 2/1/11 Goal reached: October 2012 My strategy for losing was clean eating and running. I trained for a 10k and a half marathon during this time and kept my calories between 1,500 and 1,800 with 90% clean eating. I have been weight training and running to continue with maintenance. I will…

I've given the finger to a pair of teenagers for doing this. Pssshhh!

Can you ask the personal trainer to focus only on the workouts in the book as opposed to what he/she would normally want to do? I mean, you ARE paying them to help you. they should be willing to change the workouts.
