swiss in general, the feta/goat/blue cheeses are generally higher but i can almost always fit in an ounce or two of cheese and still be under sodium, so you might want to look at the rest of your diet

wow, that's fantastic! don't hang qualifiers in front of your accomplishment - that's an awesome time and success. full stop! pat on the back. :)

that's because mfp users have their priorities in order. :drinker:

throw it out. if your mom bought it and she's eating it too, so would be upset if you did that, maybe you can put it in the car? so it's at least out of sight, out of mind. and do something to distract yourself! go for a walk, play some video games, whatever... i've been there, the more i think "man, i want a cookie", the…

i think it is helpful to have mfp friends one's age b/c they're more likely to share one's life experience level/have roughly the same struggles in their weight loss/fitness journey (as a twentysomething i'm going to have a hugely different financial/social situation as someone in their 60s). i don't think it's ageism to…

jeez. inherently, as an isolated action, of course not. if the person weighing has a mindset where they are emotionally unable to deal with normal fluctuations in weight, if weighing becomes a compulsion/obsession that interferes with daily life, then just as obviously the answer is yes. i really hate when people on here…

"i'm depressed. you know what will help? hiding in my room eating cake." rinse repeat etc. (replace 'cake' with 'ice cream / bagels / huge pots of pasta / booze', for fresh variety)

i've had this toshiba laptop since 2004 or 2005. hugely outdated by now and it's on its last legs, but i've dropped it, had it bang against things, taken it overseas, and it still works.... in that span of time, a friend of mine has been through 2-3 laptops (dunno the brand, but not toshiba) and she's much more careful…

i used to eat french fries with ice cream. but let's face it, everything goes with ice cream.

i did the same thing last weekend - "i blew it already, why bother trying" - so i totally know how you feel, and how it's easier to be encouraging to others than yourself! but please don't give up, and don't beat yourself up too much. you lost 17, that's so awesome. sit down and make a list of all the changes that you've…

eh, maybe you should just plan to have your greatest calorie intake be in the afternoon? i'm a night owl and tend to eat my largest meal(s) in late evening. i found i only frustrated myself/wound up eating excessively when i tried to make all my meals equal in calories (i eat multiple times during the day too) b/c i…

i think it depends on your skin sensitivity. i used the face wash a few years ago and remember that all it did was make my face itch horribly and then break out into an awful rash. which looked really great on top of the pimples! :P i do know that other people say it gets worse before it gets better, but for me that…

uh.... i'm not sure how to take this. i'll assume you didn't mean to be offensive.

i always, always ask: their house, their rules. if it's optional, i will take them off. frankly, i hate wearing shoes in the house. i wear crocs or slippers in mine, since i can't handle bare floors either. it *is* a cultural thing. i've a japanese background so it's been ingrained in me from birth that shoes indoors are…

yeah, maybe splitting your meals up would be a good idea - definitely don't get married to the vision that the concept of 'dinner' has to mean you eat a certain type of meal and amount. i usually eat dinner this way even though it gets logged as all one meal. i'll eat half of it, putter around for a couple of hours, finish…

truthfully, i think all but a couple (which i solicited off interesting blog posts) friended me first. and i have no idea where they found me. presumably the forums? i am shy. on the internet. which makes no sense, ikr.

i'm glad you found a shoe that works for you, but really, i'm commenting because this post was hilarious. if you decided to be a shoe salesman, i'm pretty sure the company would crowded with backlogged orders in a month.
