>:( boo family. that looks ADORABLE. it's tonks hair! love it - and all the other photos on this thread! i had blue highlights in high school, but that was the last time i cared about putting the time in to maintain. my hair's naturally very dark (i'm asian) so i had to bleach the streaks, and yeah... too low-maintenance…

congrats on seeing the workout through! i can definitely see a difference, especially in your hip/waist area just above the bikini bottoms. your backside looks more toned, too! thanks for posting - i'm on day 4 and have roughly your stats, so this helps me visualize about the results i should be looking forward to. :)

go forth and conquer! or... bend pliantly haha

also broaden your search to pumpkin/other squash recipes and do a 1:1 swap with sweet potatoes? edit: i like allrecipes too, but two other similar sites that are great are epicurious.com and food52.com :)

5'4" and spare change, goal is around 120-22 but not by any means married to that, it might be too low. i'm clueless as to where my body should "really" be, since i've always been chunky. i'd be happy to be the weight i am right now if my body comp was better, so waaaaaaaay down the road i'm actually hoping to weigh about…

adding some frozen banana plus other various other frozen fruit will thicken it up and sweeten the taste (plus you get a serving of fruit first thing - i see people throwing in handfuls of spinach, too, supposedly you can't taste it). i like adding a tablespoon of peanut butter and cocoa powder to mine, although that's…

congratulations on your loss! p.s. i love your haircuts in the before and the after shots!

just reading the posts here makes me feel less alone. i agree with that catch-22... if you could find it in yourself to love yourself enough to take care and get moving... you wouldn't have fallen into the pit of depression in the first place! so frustrating. one day at a time.

this same thing happened to me. i was NOT amused, although as it was someone i had to be polite to i think i dry-chuckled and changed the subject.

gosh, you're male, right? i'd say right off the bat that 1200 calories looks really low - i think the general rule is 1200 for women and 1600 for males, bare minimum. a quick look at the past week shows you didn't even net that 1200. i feel like what you're eating is pretty good, but yikes, please eat a little more, unless…

*hugs* i'm sorry for your loss. that's tough.

i've done the pizza thing. i could still do the pizza thing and be hungry afterwards. also an entire half-gallon of ice cream in one sitting. at some point it became a contest to see if i could finish (i did, and then i discovered what that much blue food coloring does once, um, processed)

honeycrisp and fuji - the mushy texture of other varieties is off-putting (only in baking, plz), but those two are nice and crisp.

sudden snow flurries made it a chilly walk for little hobbit feet, but at 7 miles total i can just see the wee lights of hobbiton as i move onward to green hill country. looking forward (or not, inclines....) to padding along those hills tomorow. :D edit: i guess i'm also waving hello to brandiluharve as our paths cross!

seeing as this is a website/app based on tracking calories... i'm sure there are a handful of people who don't, but otherwise, this question is kind of like walking into a bike store and talking about how cars are really awesome. cars are awesome, but the people in the bike store may not be the right audience for it,…

are you diabetic or pre-diabetic? if not, i wouldn't worry as much about sugar, *if* those sugar sources are coming from fruit/veg instead of refined sugars. i changed the settings on my food diary to track something else, since i don't like throwing the baby out with the bathwater -- i'm eating fruit as a substitute for…

online, i figure this could be useful: http://www.tickerfactory.com/ezticker/ticker_designer.php

without the skin. with fiddly fruits that don't separate well from the skins, like grapefruit or kiwi, i will weigh the entire fruit, scoop and eat the flesh, and then weigh the leftover, subtracting that from the total to get what i actually ate. and to those who say it doesn't matter - to each their own. i enjoy more…

hah, yes, op could be more sensible than me and pack work clothes separately  my walk was about 4 miles (~6.4km) and if i had a backpack clinging to my back, my back would be gross and sweaty afterwards, so if you have that problem too, maybe you even want to wear casual/workout clothes head to toe?
-
i wear two pairs of pants - the outside one would be a pair of warm track pants, something to insulate/plus protect the work pants from getting splashed or muddy. insulated mittens, mittens over gloves, my fingers get chilly otherwise. usually i carry an extra pair of socks, i guess if i had to worry about that sort of…

victim-blaming on the first page! super, my rape culture bingo card is already filled up. why did i click on this thread. imma stop reading now. */inb4 'don't like, don't read'

vanity sizing makes goal sizes sort of useless, imo. the last time i went to goodwill for pants, i had to keep browsing between three numbers (and sometimes the smaller numbers would fit better than the larger ones).

things might get a little more lively if we run out of wall space and have to fight for it rather than hang out in the center of the room

i feel like there's some magic grown-up pill i have yet to have taken that enables a person to talk to strangers without seeming like a babbling idiot. so far, no luck! this is probably because of the lack of macros and internet memes in real life. for example, your avatar. hello, ryan gosling meme! see, this is the crap i…

gah yes this! i can babble on the internet, but irl small talk is painful. :(

erm, well, sad fact is that the closer you get to goal/ideal body weight, the slower you will lose? the body's a smart machine, it likes hanging on in case of emergency. the first ten pounds for me dropped off in two months. the last ten, well, here i am five months later still struggling with pushing them under the…

another introvert here, feel free to add me. :) i could have written your post myself - sans the spouse, i'm too prickly for that, even. the nice thing about the internet is that it's easier to find people with similar interests and share the thoughts in our heads without the excruciating embarrassment!
