Are you eating because you're hungry, or just because you're bored/stressed/tired? If it's because you're hungry, have lots of fruit & veg in the house, and banish those chocolate biscuits! If it's for other reasons, then try and find other things to occupy your mind - read a book, watch a film, go for a walk.

If you have too much salt, your body retains water, which is why your weight goes up. Drinking plenty of water will flush the excess salt out of your system, so you won't retain water and your weight should go down again.

I have no idea how accurate this is, but I found this: http://www.zumbacalories.com/

I've been wondering about this too; I'm starting zumba tomorrow! Also quite surprised to see that zumba isn't in the database anyway, I thought it would be quite popular!

I think I'd really struggle to overeat on airline food. The last time I flew with an airline that provided meals, I ended up eating something that looked and smelt like cat food. On the plus side, I could probably have found fairly accurate nutritional information on the side of a can of Whiskers when I got home.

Tomato risotto - YUM!

If a good veterinarian can't get it up and mooing again, it's overdone.

Counting calories. I like coming in under target. I also have a file of inspiring pictures saved on my computer for those moments when I forget why chocolate cake is a bad idea.

I burnt over five hundred calories yesterday from walking into the city centre, wandering around the shops for about 90 minutes, and then walking home - up a big hill! It made me happy indeed. I didn't really buy anything so didn't have the weight to carry, but it made me feel good when I entered it!

It's more likely to be a salt-related water-retention issue, unless you've actually eaten enough sugar/fat to gain that much fat in five days (in which case, I salute your lardy skills!) Keep drinking plenty of water, watch your salt intake, and keep on with your exercise. It'll come off again soon.
-
Plenty of water, and whatever else your body wants. I guess you won't really feel like overeating when you're ill anyway. Hope you feel better soon!

Strange to think it's been ten years - I'm thinking of all those who were lost, but also of all the things that I've done in those ten years. Our absolute insistence on going on living seems like the best weapon most of us have against those who would destroy us and our way of life.

Birthday suit for me too - after going to the toilet, first thing in the morning :-)
-
Mental! I love it!

Trying doing different types of exercise.
-
There's no reason why you shouldn't lose, if you're exercising, drinking plenty of water, and cutting down on your salt and fat intake. Have you lost any weight since you got back on track?
-
Well done! That is fantastic - keep it up!

It doesn't age you at all - what was your friend on about?! My one gripe with your outfit is your shoes - the ankle strap cuts your leg off and makes them look shorter than I suspect they actually are (camera angle may also have something to do with that). I think I'd go for a simple black court shoe, or perhaps a peep toe…

Not all exercise needs to be of the "sweating buckets at the gym" variety. I find that it's quite nice to have a brisk walk in my lunch hour; this is particularly good if you work near a steepish hill that you can train yourself to power-walk up!
-
Make sure it's not just a case of being thirsty - I'd start out with a glass of water, and then if still hungry 15/20 mins later, I'd go with a piece of fruit.

*trans-Atlantic hug* I guess you mean American football? We're more into rugby on this side of the pond; I had a lot of fun at the Rugby Sevens at Murrayfield in Edinburgh last year, even though I felt like the only English person among a crowd of several thousand tipsy Scots.
-
Good luck - you can do it!
-
Good grief - tortilla wraps! I made fajitas last week, and ate three, and it was about two-thirds of my daily calorie allowance on the wraps alone before I got to the chicken & veg!

Trying to lose massive amounts of weight in a rush is great if you only need to be skinny for a day or two. If you want to maintain your new weight, you need to take the time to work the extra weight off. You didn't gain it in a couple of weeks, so you can't get it off in a couple of weeks. The problem with using methods…

I'm loving his "WTF?!?!" face. He does look better these days.

If you're using milk, work out the calories separately - measure your dry oatmeal, and then count calories for however much milk you use on yours.

Swimming sounds like a good one. It might be a good idea to see a doctor if the pain persists for more than a couple of days.
-
I think speaking to a doctor is probably the best solution. They may be able to send you to a sleep clinic or something like that, and there are probably things besides drugs that they can use to try and help you. Sometimes trying to diagnose yourself using the internet can be more damaging than helpful!

Well done, that is great! Keep going!
