You may regain some or all of the 'flushed out' weight if you have a salty day, or due to hormone fluctuations, etc. Your weight isn't a steady figure so you might find it more helpful to think of it as a range. So long as the range generally goes down over time, you're still losing weight.

Find something else to eat. You don't need to live on fruit & veg alone - there are plenty of other healthy foods out there. It might also help to plan ahead so that you don't completely run out in between food-shopping trips.

I got broccoli for about 45p yesterday. Strawberries are always very expensive here during the winter, though - they're way out of season. They get cheaper again in June/July.

The whole Africa argument feels very retro. There is a point about the resources that it takes to produce food (both environmental and human effort) but that doesn't mean that you have to eat absolutely everything. Take it as a lesson in portion control.
