  • Roast veggies (peppers, mushrooms, courgette/zucchini, aubergine/eggplant), roll up in your wrap (with some feta if you're into that) and away you go. YUM!
  • It doesn't. The accuracy of the scale affects how much you weigh (along with other things like what you're wearing, time of day, etc). Lots of people here suggest using the same scale in the same place at the same time of day. I personally like first thing in the morning, after I've been to the toilet and before eating or…
  • You may regain some or all of the 'flushed out' weight if you have a salty day, or due to hormone fluctuations, etc. Your weight isn't a steady figure so you might find it more helpful to think of it as a range. So long as the range generally goes down over time, you're still losing weight.
  • Why do you need to lose more than one pound a week?
  • What are you doing that is so time-consuming? Or do you mean a psychological or other type of impact?
  • Find something else to eat. You don't need to live on fruit & veg alone - there are plenty of other healthy foods out there. It might also help to plan ahead so that you don't completely run out in between food-shopping trips.
  • My parents have been naming every turkey they've ever cooked for Christmas or Easter since about 1978. Every single one has been named Fred. We're up to about Fred XXXVII now.
  • Beware the red rice. Dang those Communists.
  • We don't have cups in England. They are not a standard unit of measurement here. Interesting. We call them imperial units in the UK - except for cups, which we don't use. The UK switched from imperial to metric over the latter decades of the 20th century, and the law changed in the mid-90s to legally oblige retailers to…

  • I don't want to alarm anyone, but according to MFP, potatoes no longer exist. Or they exist but no longer have any calorific value. I'm hoping for the latter. I'm using Chrome.
  • I would have been absolutely horrified to hear if a partner of mine had said something like that about me, and it would have ended the relationship immediately. Why did you get into a relationship with someone if you can't deal with their physique? Based on what you've said in this thread, I hope she can move on from this…
  • Do you have any thoughts about what is keeping you awake? Are you worried/excited/emotional about something, or is there something wrong with the conditions in your bedroom, e.g too hot/cold/noisy, uncomfortable bed? I go through spells of insomnia every now and then - I nod off quite easily but then wake up for long…
  • You're right, your lifestyle is none of our business. Good luck with your weight loss.
  • I got broccoli for about 45p yesterday. Strawberries are always very expensive here during the winter, though - they're way out of season. They get cheaper again in June/July.
  • A cup is not an English unit. It is an American unit. In England, the only things we put in cups are tea and boobies, but definitely not at the same time - OWWW!

  • You can also use aubergine instead of pasta. Why do you have to have garlic bread?
