  • @Elise4270 Thank you for your thoughts and I know you understand the adult kid struggles. But yes, he is still very young at not even 20. Good news is my father-in-law has helped this morning with the DMV and court stuff to get him all paid up and license reinstated. So now he just needs his car fixed and not having to be…
  • Pass day 1 :p :p :p First day in ages that I didn't even walk the dogs or anything. I only have 6000 steps for the day. Probably needed a down day like this. I did log food but had donuts and then lunch at chili's.
  • I'm trying for 30 miles again for December. I was only 5 short last month so I think I can do it. As for Elise's questions, maybe TMI but I need to spill. I went into Walmart at 5:45pm on Thanksgiving with a mass of people trying to buy TVs and toys, and I walked out 10 min later with a pair of pjs, socks, underwear, and…
  • I think I ran about 25 miles this month so a little short of my 30 mile goal but overall I'm happy with my effort and I accomplished running 5k outside. Great job everyone!
  • Yesx3! Exercise today was walking dogs 1.6 miles then over 4 miles with hubby. Only used 1 pass day back on November 2 when we went to amusement park! Lost 8lbs in November!!!
  • Yes x3! Exercise so far was 55 min walk. I may still jump on the treadmill for a short run.
  • Yesx3. Only ate the 1 Thanksgiving meal, no dessert but way too much punch :p Did 20 min run on the treadmill+5 min walk. Logged it all as well as could be expected.
  • Yesx3! Exercise was 17 min office break walk, 45 min walk with hubby, 25 min on the treadmill (ran 1.5 mile and then cool down walk) I only used 1 pass day back on November 2 and I don't expect to use anymore, so yes to Winner's Circle.
  • My afternoon did not go as planned. I did not get off work early. But my husband did and showed up at my office to surprise me 15 min before I was getting off. He had no idea I was planning to run so I just went home and we walked 45 min. And froze half to death. Then I ran 1.5 mile on the treadmill while my cinnamon cake…
  • Argh! I knew I'd forget something if I ran over here by my office after work. My Garmin! I'll try just starting up an activity on Strava because God knows my Fitbit Charge 3 can't correctly calculate distance.
  • Holiday weeks can tempt me to run too much so I'm trying to exercise caution with extra time on my hands due to normal weekly obligations being cancelled and a shortened work week. So last night I opted to do a sort of circuit workout of running 2 mins on the treadmill then doing a set of 3 upper body strength exercises…
  • Yesx3 Exercise was 45 min walking breaks at work and then a 30 min circuit workout of running on the treadmill and strength sets.
  • Yesx3 Exercise was dog walk .75 mile, 20 min office break walk, 3.66 mile 70 min evening walk with hubby
  • I got way behind reporting here :# Been busy being active. • If anyone is thinking about a new Garmin, check out Kohl's this week. They can't discount the watches but they'll give you $15 Kohl's cash for every $50 spent so a $500 watch would result in $150 Kohl's cash to spend on gifts, etc. They don't have every single model/color/etc but they have lots to choose from. Oooooh,…
  • Yesx3 and exercise was 1 mile walking dogs (that was a fiasco as weiner dog got out of his harness and scared Momma half to death running toward traffic) then I ran 5k (plus about 3/4 mile cool down walk home) then I put up 2 Christmas trees (not decorated but assembled).
  • I work 28 hours weekly and he works 60 so I can't complain about that :p
  • My plan was to not run on the weekend due to the long walks with hubby. Then he decided it was a gorgeous 60F sunny day requiring him to play golf. So I decided to just go for it and run 5k :D I haven't run 5k since I don't know when but I knew I could do it. I stopped a few times for traffic but finished it in 35 min.…
  • Yes-Yes-Yes Exercise was walking each dog a mile and then 2.4 miles with my husband. Also did some shopping, cleaned my car, and dug out the Christmas decor.
  • You have some great advice here. Something else you may want to try is very short bursts of light activity, like walk in place during commercials if you're watching tv.... or when you head to the bathroom walk a lap in your house or up and down a hallway..... Every little bit will help and you'll see improvement. You can…
  • Exercise: walked each dog 1 mile separately, then ran 2.25 miles, and this evening did 25 min of strength with light cardio between sets.....I have 15,000+steps and was busy all day so...... Calories: I ate more than usual but burned enough to balance it Logged: everything, including creating recipes for random foods I…
  • I ran 2.25 miles outside today after maintenance man #1 was done (and after I walked each dog a mile which took 45 min because one dog is so slow for his mile) and I still had wet hair from my shower when maintenance man #2 showed up early. But I'm glad I crammed in the run bc although the temperature supposedly didn't…
  • Exercise: 40 min treadmill (2 miles ran, half mile walked) Calories: under (I was provided a free boxed lunch from Chickfila and I saved the cookie bc i couldn't fit a 330 calorie cookie into my day) Logged: yes
  • @shanaber Any kind of antihistamine whether it's Benadryl or a non-drowsy long-acting antihistamine gives me horrible dry mouth. I hope that's not the case for you but you may need extra water or something to suck on like Ludens if you get so dry it's hard to swallow :# @eleanorhawkins I hate ironing and my husband likes…
  • Exercise: 20 min x4 walk breaks/ lunch walking at work Calories: under Logged: yeah, I basically ate a whole lot of 2 things today :#
  • I've been using fitbit since 2011 and never had a single message from a stranger. Must be a privacy settings thing? I only have 2 fitbit friends and I don't think anyone else can view my profile on there.
  • @w8goal4life I looooove Anne of Green Gables. Saw the movies so many times as a kid and I listened to all the audio books last year. 11/19 - Exercise: walked dogs .75 mile, 30 min walking breaks at work, 45 min walk with hubby Calories: good but poor food choices Logged: everything
  • @username301 I think I'll pass on the 100F Garmin badge :-D Great job getting out in that freezing cold after a rough night. I hope your child is feeling better. @teresa502 You are killing that 5k challenge. I've had a rough time of it the past few days. What I thought was a crick in my neck seems to be much more.…
  • Exercise: tons. Lol. 19,000 steps, lots of walking (alone, with dogs, with hubby) and 20 min running Calories: Great but I fought the munchies all day. Had to tell myself repeatedly "Eating that will not help you reach your goal" Logged: everything, even the single bites of this and that
