Getting a colostomy is traumatic for most people. She is not alone in her feelings. The hospital or doctor's office should know of resources for counseling and support groups for before and after. Just call them. Praying for both of you right now. :)

I usually eat around 2000 calories a day. I fuel my workouts with my food. I'm in the red almost everyday and I'm OK with it! Fell free to add me!

This is not the nicest thing anyone has said to me (my husband tells me I'm beautiful all the time), but out of the ordinary-yesterday a man (probably a little younger than me) at the gas station told me I was beautiful and asked if he could pump my gas for me because it was cold and rainy out! I didn't let him, but it…

I'm not a man, but my husband also prefers those same one's from underarmor. The longer ones especially for running.

How long did you have those old bras? Did you get them when you were smaller? I know my bras stretch out significantly even over a year (I'm talking about Victoria's secret and department store kind).

I would be concerned that you're somewhat dehydrated. Especially in a drier heat you could be losing more moisture so you may need to drink a lot more. Are you urinating as much as usual? Is your urine darker than usual? (It should be almost clear yellow-very lighjt) The second option could be that it is so dry your sweat…

Are you following a weight lifting program or just lifting on your own? I'm no expert, but I started new rules of lifting about a month and a half ago (it's a 6 or so month program) and I am very happy with my results so far. It gives you a detailed lifting plan and explains a lot of stuff (accurately I hope lol). I'm…

I also recommend New Rules of lifting for women. I am only about a month and a half into it, lifting 30-45 minutes 2-3 times per week (usually only twice). When I started, I increased my calories, decreased my cardio some (partly because the weather's cooling and partly because I'm tired from lifting) and I've lost 2…

Me and my husband both have them. I LOVE them and put them into any shoes (sneakers) I am wearing for all activities. They have helped with ny knee pain and foot pain. My husband only uses his for work and likes them for that, but he is a runner (I am not) and won't use them for running. I've never had any other insoles or…

I've stopped "obsessing", but I plan on counting calories for the rest of my life. I just am no good at keeping track of my intake accurately in my head. Maybe you'll be able to though.

When you can't remember any of your patient's names...or why they're at the hospital lol or When I'm at home and can't figure out why none of my phone calls are going through, then I realize I'm dialing 9 first every time like I have to at work. last one When I accomplish something at home, I walk over to my computer to…

I'm not sure what kind you are interested in, but I recently got Shaun T's Rockin body and I really like it. He's funny and intertaining, the workout are fun, but definitely makes me sweat. Then there's one strength training one in the set I do with 5lb weight (I'm not that strong), but the girls on the video look like…

Just a little encourement for you....I am currently pretty week in my core also, but years back I got really into working out and I noticed my abs were the part of the body that improved the fastest when I worked hard and kept at it. It's just tremendously hard in the beginning. Well I think I just talked myself into…

Try elbow planks. They are great for your core on their own, or you can add some pelvic tilts to make it tougher.

I posted my measurements on the other post-let me know if I need to post them again here. Initial: situps 50 squats 80 dips 27 These are supposed to be squats, not lunges right? If they are to be lunges my number will be totally different lol. Thanks!!

I kept getting frustrated and giving up on my weight loss goals until a friend of mine shared a story with me with the point being basically-In a year or two from now, you're gonna look back and wish you already did it. The time's gonna pass anyways, you might as well have something to show for it. If you change nothing,…

I don't have kids, but if I did I would totally use a leash if necessary. It doesn't hurt them and it gives them (and mom) more freedom than hand holding in a crowded, but interesting place (zoo, amusement park, museum, fair). I am PRO leash! lol

It took me 3 weeks to lose my first pound. I still only only lose every couple weeks. You have to be committed to this for the long haul...the results will eventually come. Focus on how you feel if your feeling better. Best of luck to you!!!

I know when I first started I didn't have any problem staying under my calorie goal, but as I worked out harder and longer over time I'm much hungrier. I still eat healthy food, but i eat ALOT of it lol. I increased my calorie goals because I was either frustrated about going over or staying at target and not having the…

Have you tried washing your face before you work out also?
