I switched to being 90% vegetarian (love my eggs and milk..) and that resolved almost all of my issues (some of which you have.) The problem is that most foods these days have artificial sugars which confuse the body. It doesn't break down like natural does. It should also be noted: if you eat a lot of protein (sounds like…

Here is how I do my diets.. Smoothies. Raw fruit (frozen or not) smoothies with unsweetened almond milk. No protein powder (usually too much protein to burn off.) Get in the habit of making those because they're good "pick me ups" for when you're craving. Pick a grocery store. Learn it well. Preferably one that has an…

In some parts of the world, people will actually feel it for you too. Then tell you what they think.

Find fun and new activities/workouts/groups/routines/gyms, etc! After seeing if you adjusted your calorie intake appropriately.

You are either: A. Not drinking enough water to support sitting for long periods B. Not eating enough fiber to support sitting for long periods C. Actually eating too much of one thing (sugar, protein, etc.) D. May need a 1400 calorie diet Since we can't see what you're eating (friends only), we can't really get an idea on…

Sounds like you're eating too much or not often enough and your body is retaining the fat. You should start losing weight (water weight, at least) if you're working out. If you're not food logging or if you are eating badly, your body is probably stressing and, in the stress pattern, will actually hold the water weight and…

If you are working out within your limit (if you're comfortable) and are eating healthy on the side (have to get the energy, somehow)- then you should be fine! I actually envy your ability to do that. If, for whatever reason, you start having ANY problems, maybe spread it out more. If problems persist, then change…

I can't believe there are people here telling you it's fine to not worry about sugars. Sugars = fats. They're fine in small doses but not for the large amounts in some of the foods/cereals they're listing here (not to mention quite a lot of those brands have "extras" that actually prevent vitamins and minerals from…

As someone else stated: any liquid should help you suppress hunger. The only thing you should worry about with coffee is that tea/coffee (caffeine in general) will inhibit some vitamins and minerals.

Well.. when you personally drive the cars and then have many of them break down on you along your way (returning them to their original rental companies).. yeah, you get an idea of what's good and bad. Do you realize that car rentals are usually newer? And they're maintained? Wouldn't that be a good bases for what is a…

As a ravenous car fanatic who used to deliver cars from one place to another (for rentals).. none of these. Ford is possibly the worst- for all the American hoo-ha over it, that brand has the most problems. Hyundai (a sh*** foreign brand..) is a second and Dodge is an easy third (Dodge is notorious for never fixing certain…

I never really keep up with miles because I'm on a treadmill. And the one I use doesn't show me mileage. :( Thanks, though.

Well, you have to take into account that I weigh much more than you.. so I will probably burn quite a bit of calories in just a short amount of time (at an uphill pace) The problem with the rule of thumb is if I want to eat my calories back or if I'm not getting enough calories.. because of my weight and workout, I need to…

10-15 calories higher or lower? And thanks for the accuracy reply! It's hard to tell which sites are better to go by these days. I just found the treadmill site and it seems pretty helpful (it's all gibberish to me.)

That's probably what I will do. Thanks for the reply. :)

No apologies needed. The internet makes everything obscure and undefinable when it comes to replies and discussions. You never really know what tone anyone truly has.

Nope. :) Just opinionated (freedom of speech!). Please don't be rude as I play nice.

And, why is that a bad thing..? So what if they do or don't know the difference? Shouldn't they be allowed to do whatever works for them? And, if it does work for them, shouldn't that prove that there's no meaning to either one of those concepts? Don't judge. Just get along!

I bow tie you both.

If you're lazy, like me.. First: turn to soups as a meal. Eat it maybe.. 3 times a week? They make the soup now that is pre-watered, microwave ready. It's usually under 200 calories and very filling. Very lazy just to pop it into a microwave- no cooking or anything. Second: make veggie or fruit meals. Just pile fruit…

Warning: MAKES A LOT but we drink smoothies all day, usually, when we make them. Roommate's Nagging - 2 CUP (ice cube tray frozen) unsweetened coconut milk - 1 SCOOP Body Fortress Super Advanced Whey Protein (strawberry) - 2 CUPS baby spinach - 1/2 CUP celery (filler!) - 1 CUP green grapes - 1 CUP kiwi It's a yummy, green…

Hi! I'm 24 but act 18 (sometimes 12..) Does that count? I'm pretty motivated.. and I've been on the site for a while (but took a LONG hiatus to move and get comfortable.) Once I get going again, I usually don't stop. You're welcome to add me, if you like. :)

I wish I could be technical about weight loss like that! I usually stare at pictures of fit guys and girls and/or look at small sized clothing that I'd really love to fit into.. if that doesn't help, I stand in-front of a mirror and run in place to watch everything jiggle :b.
