  • For fast food burger cravings, it helps me to be prepared. I buy the 98% fat free hamburger meat and pat out into 4 oz patties and put in the freezer. I also keep frozen fries in the freezer. When I have cravings, I can cook the burger and bake the fries and it is pretty good and a lot less calories than the fast food…
  • Like one poster said, set the MFP to maintenance and keep entering what your eat. As for being tired of your menu, this is an ongoing debate here but I went to a nutritionist and she said a calorie is a calorie. Yes, some calories are a lot healthier than other calories but in weight issues, a calorie is a calorie. Eat…
  • You stated that you can not get enough water. Being thirsty is a sign of diabetes. You could be insulin resistant which causes weight issues. I would get my doc to check me out. Like others said, you probably are not eating enough believe it or not. Please add your exercise calories in because you need to eat them back.…
  • I have been here for a month and still can't believ it is free! I am just amazed at the applications and how much I have learned. I have lost 5 pounds and could not be happier. I owe it all to MFP. Forty to go but I know with this site, I can do it.
  • Too rigid for me. I would not be able to hold out for the long haul.
  • As for me, I cheat a little every day for something I want. However, I manage to stay within the MFP calories, carbs, ect so I don't know if that is really cheating. If I deprive myself completely, I won't be able to stay on this for the long haul. So far I am on track and could not be happier with this site.
  • It is possible but it will take a lot of work and some very rigid meal planning to get there. I think the idea of going from your size now down to a certain size is pretty good. If you have to work so hard and be so rigid for that kind of weight loss, will you be able to do it day after day? I say give it a try for a week…
  • You are at the right place to start your weight loss. I am familiar with a lot of medical issues myself. I have done nothing but gain weight the last 5 years no matter what I did. I found this site and started Sept 1. I have lost 5 pounds which I know isn't much but when you have done nothing but gain for five years, it is…
  • Your babies are beautiful. Congrats on your weight loss. I have never done the HCG Diet but I have done about everything else out there to only gain it back. I don't know if the HCG Diet is the same but I do know it is a hot topic with both pros and cons. I am sticking with MFP because I feel like I actually know what I am…
  • Thanks for posting. I am going to give these a try for Halloween.
  • Thanks for posting. I am going to give these a try for Halloween.
  • I have had good results just doing this. I can't believe it is free. I would actually pay for all of this information. I have dieted for 40 years and to be honest, this is the first time ever that I actually know what I am doing. That's just my opinion about me.
  • Thanks for taking the time to post. I am going to try this out. It sounds good. Good Luck on your weight loss. I love this site! It has helped me so much and love getting good recipes from others.
  • Based on my experience, if you follow the MFP guidelines, you will lose weight.
  • Are you adding back in your exercise calories and then eating those calories? If not, you probably are not eating enough to lose weight.
  • This is an amazing site - you will love it. Yes, once you follow the guidelins here, the pounds will fall off. Good Luck
  • Looks like so far she has not ask you to help. If the place is disgusting like your husband said, she may not want you to see it. If she ask you directly to help, maybe you can help. If she does not ask your to help, I would not worry about it.
  • Way to go! I think you look amazing! I love pictures like you have posted. It motivates me to keep on going and never give up. Just don't over do it!
  • You are at the right place. Just put in your age, height, current weight, activity level and what your goal per week is for loss and MFP does everything else for you. It tells you what your daily calories should be as well as your carbs, proteins and fat. It not only tells you what it should be, once you enter your foods,…
  • Maybe he will come around to your way of thinking but if he brings snacks to bed, I would not count on it. I know how you feel to a degree. After some major health issues five years ago, I have done nothing but gain weight until I found this site September 1. Like you I had reached the point that I was so miserable that I…
  • I always suggest people get their thyroid checked because I have thyroid issues. However, I have noticed on different post that people that don't have a large amount of weight to lose do seem to lose it slower. I also see other post that point out muscle weighs more than fat and if you have been working out a lot, keep up…
  • Are you looking something easy or wow? Looking low cal or doesn't matter?
  • You have come to the right site for help. The suggestion I would make is plan ahead as much as you can and enter your foods before you eat them. It keeps me from going over when I see what the calories and so forth are. Good Luck
  • You should get your thyroid checked just in case. The only way I would use Alli is if I didn't have to leave the house for anything which is close to impossible for most folks. Alli simply absorbs the excess fat and removes it from your body. If you are already eating a healthy diet, you are probably low fat already in…
  • It will - it is an amazing site with amazing applications. It tells you everything you need to know about losing weight. Good Luck
  • Hi, I have major health problems as well. I have done nothing but gain weight the last 5 years until I found this site. I had tried everything before but I started here Sept 1 and have lost 5 pounds. So far, it is working for me. Hope it works for you too. It is an amazing site. I feel like I actualy now know what I am…
  • I agree with you and that is the attitude I am trying to have. I know I will have to do this the rest of my life so I am trying to do it in a way that I can handle. I definitely don't starve myself - been there done that over and over the last 40 years and it doesn't last, it just makes you gain more weight.
  • Wow! That is a big difference. Hope I will be able to do some comparisons before too long. I started Sept 1 so pictures like yours keep me motivated. Thanks for posting.
  • Sorry you are having a down day. Let's look at what you have earned for yourself and your future. You have a University Degree, you have lost your weight with little or no support and you have shown you have drive and determination by taking any job you can find despite having your University Degree. You are made out of…
