Comfort Food Diet cookbooks by the Taste of Home are absolute amazing! They also have a 6 week menu in all of them that uses their recipes and puts you in at about 1400 calories. So if you run out of ideas you go to that. Mix and match. I love them

I'm getting married for the 1st time on May 27th. Having the legal wedding and reception here, then flying to Playa del Carmen and having a beach ceremony there! Wanted to do it all there but didn't want to have to take my kids on a honeymoon/wedding trip. (I know, selfish) but I refused to get married without them. 10…

I started it in Nov and did it for a good week or so. Then I fell off the wagon. The 1st couple of days HURT. But it's such a great pain, you know it's working. I am doing it after work tonight and hope to get a full 30 days in. I'm getting married in 5 months and HAVE to get something done so I can find a dress

Ditto on all of that! I love pizza! Its a bad bad thing! BUT, I do find that I can get a low carb tortilla, tbsp. of pizza sauce, all the veggies I can add and about 1/4 cup of cheese, slap it in the toaster over............NOT bad at all and it calms that craving. There is a wonderful turkey pepperoni out there.....…

Mental sanity would be the value :noway:

Then don't eat it! Simple as that. I don't understand why if you don't like it other people can't. (and I'm not saying this about you, I just happened to jump in right here) Why is that this is a constant debate. McDonalds is around to make money, same as the hardware store down the road and any other grocery store. They…

Aldi's has a flavored hummus tray right now. Has anyone tried this? I've not ever had hummus but it looks fantastic!

I eat a lot of light popcorn! Super low in calories and it keeps me away from the chips!

If I had 4 friends hungry, I would do it! I'm a sucker for a Big Mac and their fries. I would however work out extra hard to enjoy such a lovely meal! Choices, my friends, choices!

I find planning is key to staying within my 1200 calories. I make a plan and stick with. Loads of fruits and veggies and I cook at home. I bring left overs for lunch. Stay away from processed food. Way too many calories for less food.

Horrible! Horrible and horrible! For 2 straight days. Very disappointed in me. But oh well. Back on the wagon today

Oh no! I have to pay for it all. But at my daughter's school they have a lunch card that you put money on and that's how they pay for their lunches. But for some reason she can't put the salads on there. So I have to send actual money for her when she eats salads, which she does often. I find that STUPID [/quote]What?? I…

I am all for healthy school lunches! I thinks that a great way for kids to learn the difference between junk and not junk. However, it has to be up to the parents to teach kids too. So hopefully (and I know its not the norm) the kid is eating and playing at home to offset those icky school lunches. But let's face it, the…

 Thank you for the information. I know the negative affects of alcohol on my body and my health. I choose to go ahead and drink it. That is my lifestyle. I work in a bar, my friends hang out in bars, and people drink in that bar. That's just how we roll

I know! I'm one of those that admit that I love junk food! And pizza, ah............ I would marry it! I even let my kids eat it! :-) I have found a way to make a low cal pizza to fix my craving. So I'm okay

Since I started working out in the am, I have eaten breakfast every morning and its great! It is a dippy egg and one slice of toast. It works for me. Keeps me full most of the morning. On the weekends, I usually cook the breakfast but don't eat it, but am trying to change that. I also enjoy some bagels and cream cheese.…

Good luck! That is a tough one. If you can keep some turkey burgers or something like in your freezer for late night binge eating, it wouldn't be so bad as eating a whole pizza or something. I also know when I will be going out so I try to save the calories as much as I can. I did finally just switch to Miller 64. Its…

We had Thanksgiving dinner yesterday here at work too. I ate it, ate too much and was miserable, but I figured it in as about 800 calories. No dinner needed after that anyway. So, yeah, I don't think Thanksgiving will be horrible. Just making a promise to myself, 1 plate, no seconds (if need more later, fine) And I will…
