Yes I'm still breastfeeding her 3 times in 24 hours. I also think breastfeeding makes it hard to lose weight. My body seems to want to hold onto as much weight as possible. Not sure if that's a thing, it's just my experience. I'm also on antidepressants & have a pretty bad history with food so my metabolism is probably…

Yes I'm on week 2 of the pretraining part of BBG. Goes for 4 weeks before starting the real deal for 12 weeks.

I weigh in at the same time every week but had stopped for the month I did the Whole30 as that is a part of the rules. I didn't lift or eat anything high in sodium the day before. I can't decide if I should increase my carbs & lower my fat or vice versa. Currently on low carbs & high fat. Was going to add back legumes &…

Thanks everyone :)

Sorry I should have added that I'm retested every 6 months. I tested the other day and my numbers are good. Thanks for your thoughts :)

Thats what I was afraid of. I guess I was hoping I was doing something wrong & could fix it but I know in my heart I'm doing everything right. It's just that I lose weight very slowly. I will keep trucking, it just sucks.

I should have added that I have Hypothyroidism and am on 150mg of Thyroxine. I have been on it since being pregnant and haven't really tried to lose weight since going on it (2 years ago) I assumed since my thyroid is under control that weight loss should be 'average' (if there is such a thing) rather than slow as it has…

Got the advice from a friend who is a doctor :/ hence they panic & confusion :(

I am 100% certain. Absolutely no sneaky calories, no cheat meals, no lying to myself. I did take photos but I'm not keen on comparing after just 1kg weight loss. I doubt I would see much. My clothes do not feel looser.
-
I would love to lose 1kg per week but realistically I would be happy with 500g (1lb). If I had been doing this for awhile or had less weight to lose I would be ok with such slow weight loss but I'm really only just starting so was hoping to lose more.

Yes, I weigh everything. Nothing is a guess
-
I should add I was also never under 1200 calories. I was generally around 1400 I would say.
-
Hi ladies, how do you track calories burned with BBG?
-
I take prenatals and am losing weight. I certainly haven't noticed an increase in my appetite.

Me! My wedding was booked for March 21st 2014 but the venue just fell through :( I'm disappointed but think I may have dodged a bullet (well that is how I'm going to look at it!) so I'm on the search for a new venue. I'm trying to lose about 25 lbs (about 10kgs), that is the weight I feel I look my best.

Hi Lawrence, I'm new too! I'm excited to lose weight and finally be happy with myself :) I will add you as a friend :)

I have always counted calories, I have just increased them which I agree is probably part of the reason I am losing. I believe my body does not do well on low carb high protein. I have been militant in my charting & measuring so I dont eat too much fat + too high carbs and still lost nothing. I tested and was in ketosis so…

I have finally started losing weight after upping my calories from 1200 to approx 1400 - 1500 cals. I also increased my carbs from low to moderate.
-
I'm currently trying to eat between 50 - 70 grams so it is definitely a decrease. My food diary over the past few days isn't a good indicator as I have been home sick in bed & eating simple carbs.
-
I don't weigh myself in the lead up to my period. I definitely gain a couple of pounds.
-
I'm 5'9 and currently weigh 159 lbs. My end goal is 135 lbs :)

"But it does not seem even remotely possible that this is occurring due to your "pear shape" or anything your naturopath told you." [/quote] Would you care to elaborate? Why is it not 'even remotely possible'? Please explain the weight loss if she is wrong. I would love to hear your thoughts.

I was eating protein (and salad) as my main source of calories. 1 gram of protein per pound I weigh. So approx 150 - 170

Yup I'm a pear too. I have been told recently that my low carb diet is not great for weight loss in pear shaped women. I have been told to increase my carbs (up to 180) & decrease my protein & fat. My weight loss plateau has finally broken after nearly an 18 month stall! I also feel much better. I can't lose the pear shape…

I'm losing before my upcoming wedding in march 2014. We are going to start trying on our honeymoon so Im also losing for a healthy pregnancy :)

Awesome! I really think it's a good idea to have lots of mini goals rather than just one big goal. I might even break mine down again so there are more than two goals. Makes it easier I think :)
