the best part about working out is getting to eat more.
-
how's the smell.
-
it's not bad. there are "better" times to work out but the reasons are mostly personal preference, i think. in the end it doesn't matter and it's better than not working out at all.

Toby (a FEMALE boston terrier) haha

we think similarly.

i don't stretch before i run (maybe i should). i usually just walk for 5 min.
-
the best way that i've found to get rid of water retention is by SWEATING if out. or by drinking a lot of water... it usually takes about 2-3 days before i feel back to normal.

lol

if you work out (and sweat) it will go away immediately.

if you are willing to spend the money, i recommend getting a bodymedia fit. it tells you exactly how many calories you burn per minute per day.

i live in dublin (which is basically columbus)

CORRECTION: MOST people are idiots.

I was scared to switch to maintenance at first too. You could try easing into it. Slowly increasing your calories every week or so (I'm probably repeating what other people have said). You'll be fine.
-
drink diet dr. pepper or mio or something sugar free.

I use a bodymedia fit to monitor my calories burned, which has made me aim for a daily total calories burned goal instead of just during a work out. I aim for no less than 3660 per day (unless it's Friday and it's my cheat day) but I usually go over (and sometimes by A LOT).

Yes, but it was when I had A LOT to lose. I've found that now that I'm actually at a healthy weight, it's harder for me to lose weight while eating the amount of carbs I want to eat per day (about 150-200g per day). Lucky for me I don't care, but if i wanted to lose a little more weight I would probably cut back on carbs…

I hate to be this person but it really doesn't matter what time you eat. I do not agree with the first part of this statement, it is a pet peeve of mine. There are so/too many factors at play. I have no proof other than my own experimentation with dieting. I do agree that if you are TRYING not to eat and WANT to have a…

they are amazing. just microwave them and eat them. they're expensive. i used to eat a whole box a day. no joke.

oatmeal with butter and maple syrup peanut butter (specifically white chocolate flavor)

I have nights like this a few times a week. What I end up doing is just making myself eat anyway (more because I am following a semi-specific diet/have a protein goal), which is sometimes as late as 11pm. Also, I don't want to risk slowing down my metabolism. If I don't work out that day, then I am more likely to either…

I like this one the best.

For me, I only allow myself to eat around 150g of carbs a day (and those carbs can only be from whole grains/whole wheat and must contain a decent amount of fiber). as for protein, i try to eat about 300g a day (which is over triple my MFP recommendation). I'm actually sort-of following the P90X2 nutrition guide (but they…

so bad that it made me weigh over 360 pounds! i think my worst were the days i'd eat at least half a pizza WITH a bacon cheese burger and fries and chinese food. how disgusting lol
-
I agree.

I really think this is more of a mental thing that varies from person to person. I could NEVER give myself a cut off time for eating, I think it's like self torture. There are a few nights every week where I don't get home until after 9pm, and by the time I'm done preparing dinner, it's more like 10pm. I also spent this…

Hungry Girl has really good ideas and they're all healthy/low calorie. www.hungry-girl.com/books

i only log significant things and leave out things like condiments or a handful of nuts etc. i don't think it's "lying" if i am still aware of it whether it's written down or not...

i did everything at home when I lost a lot of weight. once i lost the weight is when i started going to the gym. i still prefer at-home workouts but i try and go to the gym at least once a week but only to see a personal trainer or when it is too cold/wet to run outside.
