Found out today I'm 1 cm dilated and cervix is soft!! Doc still thinks itll be a week or two, but it was so nice to have progressed a bit. Like I've said before, with my last daughter, I didn't dilate at ALL before I was induced. So this felt like a huge accomplishment- lol. How's everyone else progressing?

I have used the Lindsey Brin 3 trimester workouts- she has a DVD for each trimester. And I also use the Denise Austin Fit & Firm DVD. Both are good...obviously, not very high impact but will definitely do the job and have for me (at 37.5 weeks). Good luck!

How's everyone progressing?? I'm 37 weeks 2 days today, and have been feeling lots of inconsistent contractions over the last couple of days...don't remember feeling this many with my daughter. Have my appointment tomorrow so I guess I'll find out then if I've progressed at all. Can't believe we are almost there! Scary and…

I'm 37 weeks and am still eating maintenance, plus my exercise calories (maintenance is 1800 or so for me, and if I work out, I eat around 2100). I've gained 28 lbs at this point, and hope to stay under my goal of 30. I went into it thinking I'd add in more calories at some point, but I always feel full (even at…

BeckyJill-I was induced last time around, so I can't really offer any good advice. I will say- I had NO feelings of her coming- lol. Felt like she was going to camp out in there forever. But I've also heard other women kind of "know" about when he/she will make their arrival. Jls- Hope you're feeling better! Coughs are no…

Wasn't dilated yesterday, but cervix was soft. Doctor already started talking about the possibility of inducing again....really hope it happens naturally this time around- just want to experience that. Hope everyone's doing well!

I guess I'll find out in an hour!! I know it's early- just curiosity has gotten the best of me:) I never dropped last time, but they say that with your 2nd baby you don't necessarily "drop" until labor begins. I can't believe you haven't had sex in 2 months- LUCKY! My husband still wants it at least twice a week so I've…

It's been 6 days since the last post, so I thought I'd see how everyone is doing...??? Have my 36 week/3 day appointment this morning. Appointments every week now- SO exciting! Will get tested for the Group B Strep test today (which I was positive for last time around and needed the antibiotics during labor), and hopefully…

Chicky- it's still possible! The last 3 weeks of my last pregnancy I didn't gain any...there just wasn't room. You might be pleasantly surprised:)
-
I've been working out about 4-5 days a week for 30-40 minutes all throughout this pregnancy. I walk 2 days a week, and do a pregnancy aerobics DVD twice a week. So it's obviously not to the extent I was working out before, but it's keeping me in check and helping me stay on track a bit. I plan on doing it as long as I can…

Becky/Jill- I know it's hard to believe how close we are...seeing you say that, I went back to the beginning of this group and re-read some of the entries. It seems like there's only a few of us left who started out in this group- lol! SOooo exciting to be in the home stretch. I just have a few more things on my to-do…

I don't add it. I also don't add coffee/coffee creamer, or gum. I feel like there's some things that should just be "free" ya know?? And I'm 35 weeks and haven't gained over what I should- so don't be afraid!:)

[/quote] I'm not saying don't eat, but I lost a couple of pounds towards the end of my last pregnancy (which was fine b/c I was already overweight and had gained ~60 lbs!), and I remember telling the OB nurse that it was because I didn't have room for very much food anymore. I wasn't starving or anything, I promise, but I…

Jls- My last daughter was 8 lbs 10 oz- which was big enough for me at 5' 4" and still put her in the 95th percentile!:) We did a will after Elsie (our daughter) was born, and we named my brother and his wife as guardians since they have kids and are stable. My sister is pregnant now though, and her marriage is going a lot…

Weighed in this morning...34 weeks/3 days and up 26 lbs. Still hoping to stay under 30, although it doesn't look promising. We shall see:)

Wow- I guess I'm the only one how doesn't have to pee each time. I guess if we were showing symptoms, they would check then...? Had my 34 week appointment today...and my ultrasound. She's still a girl!! Guess my hunch was wrong- but at least I know one way or the other now. So she was about 5 lbs 4 oz, head down, and had a…

Do you ladies have to pee every time you go to your doctor?? If so, why? Just wondering, cause I don't have to...but I'm sure if I did, I'd have the same problem:)
-
Becky- it's exciting- I have my 34 week appointment on Wednesday...def in the home stretch now! I don't think this pregnancy has gone SUPER fast- but a lot faster than my last one which is good. I AM getting extrememly nervous/anxious. With my 2 year old, I was induced at 4 days overdue. So, I really don't know what…

As far as tiredness, I noticed last week that it's really started kicking in again. Like, there's so much I want/need to do, and I just can't do it anymore. It's been so hard keeping up enough energy to chase my 2-year-old!! Swelling a little, but not nearly as bad as I did with my daughter- I seriously couldn't even…

There's a way to log it- it's actually in food. At the beginning, you can actually burn up to 500 calories a day. So if you type in breastfeeding in your food diary, it will give you negative 500, or 300, or 250- depending on how much you're breastfeeding. Enjoy!:)
-
Becky- Can't figure out how to just post a picture into a message- any ideas? I think it'd be fun to show off nurseries! Faughorn- I'm sure he'll turn- he's got plenty of time...:) Keep us posted! Jls- I can't BELIEVE you had Madonna tickets and couldn't go. A Madonna concert is on my bucket list, so I'm totally jealous…

Well, it's kind of an old wive's tale, but they say the lower the heart rate (like in the 130s) that it's more likely to be a boy, and the higher (obviously) than the more likely it's a girl. But there are so many exceptions to the rule and it's not a fool-proof way of predicting. However, I read somewhere that the closer…

Hey Ladies! Well, I had my 32/33 week appointment today...and once again, the heart rate was super low- 129 bpm! Soooo, I mentioned to my Doctor that the heart rate has been pretty low all along and I was started to question whether it's really another girl as they told me (they said they were 92% sure at the time). Doc…

I agree with the above- we didn't use much newborn before we were in size 1. Last time around, someone threw us a diaper/wipes shower so we were set til like month 7. This time around, I've been trying to stock up on my own but haven't been doing a very good job:) Only have about 3 packages. FYI- A lot of formulas will…

BeckyJill- I can't believe you JUST finally 'popped'...feel like I popped sooooo long ago- I don't know how much bigger I can get in the next 2 months/58 days (give or take:)). Got in total nesting mode again last weekend- not only did we buy entirely new living room furniture/a rug, but I decided to completely rearrange…
-
Just wanted to add my 2 cents- I was induced with my daughter (at 40 weeks/4days) and don't regret it. Labor was long, but it wasn't any worse than other labors- from what I've gathered. But at 40 weeks/4 days I had not dilated at all and my baby was measuring big- she was 8 lbs 10 oz! ALSO, don't forget that the longer…
-
With my last baby- I did that too! With her I NEVER dilated on my own- not even 4 days overdue (so I was finally induced). I even had sex 4 times in one day, walked in heat advisories, ate anything spicy I could, took a medicine ball to work to sit on instead of a chair...the ONLY thing I didn't try is castor oil because I…
-
BeckyJill- yay for finally starting the nursery! We moved our 2 year old into her "big girl room", so the nursery is pretty much staying the same. I need to sweep in there, straighten a bunch, and wash all the clothes (they're in the drawers though!). I have to find some ways to make it more personal for this baby...since…

I always eat mine back. But I'm in the 3rd trimester and still logging under "Maintenance". I figure by eating my excercise calories back, I'm sure to get all the calories I need. I've gained 21lbs at 30.5 weeks and feel really good about my gain thus far. So there's my 2 cents!;)

I woke up my baby- following the "Babywise" scheduling system- but that was because I was going back to work and I wanted there to be consistency in her schedule. Putting her on a schedule was amazing for us. Not only did she sleep entirely through the night at 7 weeks, but I think it's still good for her as she doesn't…
