I'm up 21 lbs at 29 1/2 weeks- happy because I don't think I will gain the 40 I gained last pregnancy:):)
-
I had a glass of wine twice during my last pregnancy, and this time I think I'm gonna go with 3 times...my husband says if we keep having kids, I might be able to have it every week during my 6th and 7th pregnancies (but there's NO way of that happenin');) My Doctor is super-laid back about it...he was even telling me…

Dragonaris- I remember feeling like that after my daughter was born...but you'll drive yourself crazy if you think that. Seriously- ENJOY the times you can rest. Nap when he naps. Babies need to learn how to self-soothe even at a young age. Just wanted to encourage you- completely understand where you're coming from- but…

Kerrbear- No, that hasn't happened to me yet. Although, like you, during my first pregnancy I had NO leaking...but this time I've noticed that if they're, um, "encouraged" (gross, I know) a little comes out. So maybe I'm not far behind you! I would think it'd be a good sign though- less pain when your milk first "comes in".

Hey Ladies.... Sorry to those that are feeling nauseous again- that's no fun. I'm not sick, but def feeling more "pregnant" these days...feeling more sore here and there- that's for sure. And I also have the beginning of (what I think) is yet ANOTHER sinus infection- my 4th in like 2 months. UGH. Not to be a Debbie Downer…

Hey October Mamas- what's new!?!
-
Hello Ladies! I can now officially join you- will be 28 weeks tomorrow with my second child- another daughter!! Although all along, I've thought it was a boy- so we shall see! I'm 28 weeks tomorrow and up about 18/19 lbs. Trying to keep my weight under control this pregnancy- with my first daughter, I gained 40! She turned…
what flavor did you get? When pregnant with DD I heard that the most tolerable flavor is the lemon lime, I did that flavor and it tasted like stale sprite. It was not too bad. Congrats on entering your 3rd tri!!!
I got orange last time and didn't think it was too bad so I got it again- enjoy!:)

Had my glucose screening test today- hoping everything comes back normal. For those of you who haven't experienced it yet- honestly, the drink doesn't taste GOOD, but I don't think it's as bad as some make it out to be:) Doctor also said this baby was measuring 2 weeks ahead of schedule- which is exciting. But with my last…

BeckyJill- we have the exact same due date (was yours a Superbowl weekend baby too;)?! And we are both expecting girls!! Just thought that was cool:) Ajsdream: I say have a shower- even if you have to mention something to a friend...and even if it's something small. You only have your first baby once! Today is my last day…

We paid 100 bucks to have it with my first daughter (who is almost 2), and it WAS really cool. But my husband and I both agreed that it's really not worth the money- at that point you'll see em soon enough anyway! Hope this daughter doesn't feel left out!:)

Welcome to the group! This is just my opinion, but you'd prolly be okay just eating maintenance for a while. I'm a little over 25 weeks now and still eating maintenance plus whatever calories I burn while working out (which ends up being a bout 2000-2100). That has kept my weight right on track- towards the high end in…

I did my shower at about 7 months, but I've seen them all over the board. I just wouldn't wait too long though, because you'll have to go out and purchase the things you need that weren't given to you:) And with my first daughter, I first felt her movements around 16-17 weeks...so ANY day now for you, I'm sure!
-
As of today, I'm up 16lbs at 24 weeks/5 days...WAY better than with my daughter, but still at the "high end" of most pregnancy calculators I find. I'm still eating maintenance though for the most part- gonna bump it up a bit in 3rd tri!

<24 weeks

I'm going with 27-28 weeks for the third Tri as well- that's what all the resources online say. As far as calorie intake goes, here's what the American Pregnancy Association's website says: Eating a well-rounded diet is important. According to the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, a pregnant woman of…

I'm right with you all on the body image thing- I'm doing a LOT better than I did last time around, but it's still hard to watch my body expand- especially in the summer months! But don't worry- this is my second, and you CAN get it off after:) Other than that, at 24 weeks- I've been feeling verrry pregnant these days. I…

I did a lot of the same workouts that I did pre-pregnancy til about 17/18 weeks. I have Denise Austin Fit & Firm Pregnancy and the Lindsey Brinn 1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimester DVDs. They are definitely a step down (or 4:)) from Jillian Michaels anything, but they are good when you get further into your 2nd trimester. The…

I know it seems hard...During my last pregnancy I ended up really watching what I was eating (I gained 40 total the last time) at the end and I didn't gain ANY the last few weeks but baby did! Dunno how, but it's possible and baby came out a healthy 8 lb. 10 ouncer!! You can do it- just try your best:)

We are in the process of getting our spare room turned into my daughter's "Big Girl" room (she'll be 2 in July). Sooo, as soon as my lazy brother-in-law finally moves out (THIS weekend- YAY!), we will start that process. I have everything except the rug for that, and I'm super excited to decorate it. That way, the nursery…

Chickybuns- Jude was our boy's name!! But we don't have to worry about that, because we are having a girl:) I think I'll keep it secret for now though. Our other daughter's name is Elsie- after my great-grandmother. Good luck everyone!
-
Kerrbear- how was your weigh in this morning? I've been up and down about my weight gain- I think it's definitely harder the 2nd time around cause I was determined to be different. BUT, it seems to me you are doing great. I see that you're still working out 5 days a week and doing your best to eat right- at the end of the…

Congrats, BeckyJill- we needed more Team Pink in this group:) And good deal on the finds- I got most of my nursery furniture through garage sales/etc...and I'm so glad I did. Babies can be rough on that furniture so it's not worth it to spend a ton (in my humble opinion).

I swelled up a TON my first pregnancy- was due at the end of July. You just have to reduce your sodium- that's KEY. Elevate your feet whenever possible, and drink tons of water. Unfortunately that's all that can be done. I'm 21 weeks now, but am def doing better on the swelling front this time around and I would say it's…

How did the ultrasound turn out??

Hey Ladies...how's everyone doing on weight gain lately?? I've had a jump this week- am now up 13ish pounds at almost 21 weeks. All the charts say I'm at the high end...just wondering if I should change my calorie intake? I'm still working out reguarly and I don't feel that heavy (especially compared to my last pregnancy),…

SUCH a fun party....AND, the verdict is: it's a...........................................GIRL!!! Was totally shocked. So, come October we will be welcoming our second daughter- Jovie Kay. Very shocked (I was sure it was a boy) but excited:)
-
Faughorn, I don't have a nifty scanner or anything- but we got a pic of ours doing the same today!! SO cute:) Finding out the gender at our party tomorrow evening- can't wait!
-
Had my (almost) 20 week check-up/ultrasound today. The tech was 92% sure...but we don't know yet! Finding out tomorrow evening at our Gender Reveal/Pink & Blue Party with some of our family and friends. I'm thinkin' Blue, but who knows!! Other than that, baby was healthy, measuring right on schedule, and I'm excited to…

That's awesome!! Welcome back:)
