4/7 with 3rd level of 30 Day Shred and 20 minutes of walking and pushing the stroller. What a gorgeous day!

I was in the same boat. I started in September and had lost about a pound a week until the holidays. Then I stopped losing and actually gained about 3 lbs. I chalked it up to the holidays. Then the new year came and I stuck to my calorie budget. Scale didn't budge. I started doing the 30 day shred at the end of January and…

When does the week start? If it's Sunday, I'm 3/7. Did about 25 minutes of elliptical today. Tomorrow is my day off and then back to the shred, level 3. Ugh! The scale is starting to move again, now that I'm not eating back my exercise calories. Looking forward to weighing in each morning now! Hope it continues!

Hi all! Just found this thread and could use some motivation right now. I've been doing great with workouts. I've been doing the 30 day shred 5-6 days a week and a day of elliptical. My issue is that the scale isn't moving. I hit a plateau over the holidays and chalked it up to parties and holiday meals. In the new year, I…

I'm on Jillian michaels website and her calculation is different than MFP & that's why I'm confused. this is what Jillian's site does: Set to lose 2 lbs per week, she says I should eat 1389 per day. Magic Number Calculation - 1389 = 1589 BMR x 1.2 activity level of lightly active + 500 exercise calories - 1000 calories to…

Stick with it! I started on level 2 last 6 days ago and it's much easier now, I'm still dropping to my knees by the end of it, but I feel much stronger and can keep up with almost everything. It's a great workout! Between the shred and running after my kids, I should be at my goal weight in no time! Haha! :)

I've done 5 days of level 2 and it definitely gets easier! I was amazed at how much easier it got. Don't get me wrong... I still have the sweat pouring off of me and my heart rate is up there, but I can stay with all the moves now. Hang in there!

Isorry bout that. It's actually calisthenics, vigorous and is under cardio.
-
The shred is more like circuit training, vigorous.

I take a hot bath after the workout and soak for about 10 minutes. I will also ask my husband to massage my shoulders or back if sore. I've also used a heating pad and just bought some of those stick on heat strips in case ideally burn in level 3. They're in a red box and called therma something. When I first started, I…

What do you consider falling off the wagon? Yesterday with the super bowl, I didn't track calories. Just plan on picking back up today. I also give myself one day a week where I can go over my calories. Keeps your body from going into starvation mode and slowing down your metabolism. Also, I let myself eat whatever I want…

The Super Bowl really threw me off yesterday. Getting back on track today. This is day 14 for me. I'm on level 2 and can't wait to burn some of those extra calories I ate yesterday!
-
I eat back some, not all of my calories too. I think the reason for it is if you are exercising like crazy and don't eat enough calories, your body will slow down its metabolism. Sounds odd, I know. Its like a self-defense mechanism.

I'm on day 12. I kicked it up to level 2 yesterday. I had done this once before. When I started level 1, I thought it wasn't nearly as bad as the first time I did it, so I had high hopes for level 2. It was definitely easier than the first time, but it still kicked my butt! Not looking forward to level 3 at this point, but…

This is really odd. I googled her user ID and found this is My Fitness Pal from October 2011 when she started the same challenge: "Hello All, I am not going to be able to participate in this challenge so someone else will need to takeover. Please do not try to contact me." Seems like some kind of scam she was running to…

Just finished day 10 and am starting level 2 tomorrow. I kind of dread it because I remember how hard some of the moves get in later workouts. All those plank moves kill me and make me bet for the push ups again! I'm down another 2 lbs and am feeling great! Hope everyone else's doing well!

I'm going for 10 pounds in February. I plan on doing the 30 day shred 4 days and a day of cardio each week. Plus, if the weather is nice, I'll be doing some walking with the kiddos! Starting weight is 184. Waist is 32 and hips are 38.5.

Count me in!

Talk to your doctor. I got pregnant with our third while I was trying to lose the baby weight from the first two. I had lost 24 lbs and was able to continue exercising on the elliptical and walking (no more Jillian routines though!) through part of my pregnancy. It helped o keep my weight gain in check. Once I gave birth,…

I love the shred! I followed Jillian's online plan. 2 day shred, 1 day off, 2 day shred, 1 day aerobic activity of my choice, 1 day rest. Awesome! Just as an fyi...It took my body about a week to adjust. I didn't start dropping weight for about a week and my sleep was messed up for alittle less than a week. Your body just…

I know what you mean about the logging. MFP is much easier! JM did just update her inputting system but it still doesn't compare to MFP. I just recently joined again because I wanted to check my calorie budget against JMs because I hit a plateau that I couldn't break through. I'll probably drop it after my 30 day trial.…

I'm on day 7 and feeling great! Was a bit discouraged after how weak I felt yesterday, but I feel much stronger today!

I honestly dont think that her video was designed to be done every day for 30 days. I looked briefly and didn't see anything about how often to do it. Her website breaks it down like I mentioned....2 days circuit training (very similar to shred), 1 day rest, 2 days circuits, 1 day cardio, 1 day rest and then repeat. She…

I follow Jillian's online plan. I do 2 days of shred, 1 day of cardio...my choice, 1 day rest, 2 days of shred, and 1 day of rest. It's supposed toe better for your odd so that it can heal and not get used to a routine. The added advantage is that it doesn't get quite as boring and routine.

I'm on day 4 and it's a rest day for me. I know that my body needs to rest, but I feel like I'm cheating!
-
I'm feeling great! I'm on day 3 but today was a cardio day for me (doing 2 day shred, 1 day cardio, 1 day off, 2 day shred, 1day off) and have so much energy! I hit a plateau in my weight loss over the holidays which, I guess, is to be expected, but now I can't seem to break through it. Hoping this will help. Plus, I've…

Put a heating pad on them. It helps. Also, try adding an additional stretch for your calves before and after next time. I.e. stand with feet together and bend your knees. Move one leg out so that it rests on your heel....knee straight. Use your hand on your bent knee to Help balance.

I'm using 3 lb weights. Unless you have strong arms, I'd suggest starting with less than 5 lbs. after the first couple of days, I could definitely feel it.

I am doing the 30 day shred too. How often are you'll doing it? Am going to try to follow Jillian's weekly plan of 2 day shred, 1 day off, 2 day shred, 1 day aerobics, 1 day off. Not sure that ican stick to that with my kids, but am going to try. I've hit a plateau and really need to break through soon.
