As many have said DO NOT count on your family for support. My mother(who has never weighed over 120) and my sister( who weighs about 50lbs more than me) didn't even notice I've lost 50lbs this past year. At Christmas time I get clothes that are several sizes too big while my sister makes the comment "I figure it will fit…

You look great! Keep up the hard work!!

I log mine under circuit traiing, I start with a pretty good cardio warm up for 20 minutes...then I start with the strenth training. I do minimal rest between exercises, Depends on what I'm doing I will get on the elippectal or bike for a few minutes to keep my heart rate up. When I'm done I finish up with a few more…

just google it and you can find all the instructions/guidelines. Its more of a format. You won't need a DVD for this...good luck!

Sounds good!

i googled the name brand my gym used and found lots of videos on you tube as well.

Thats basically what I've been doing all along based on guidelines from another site. It keeps things more balanced for me and if I want extra calories because of a special event or something I make sure I make up the difference with exercise and not decreasing my caloric intake. One thing I've learned after spending 3/4…

If the machine allows you to enter your weight I would go by that...that would be more accurate since it would be derterminng calories burned based on your weight versus a "standard" number which would apply to any weight

Thank you for the original post! first off....I drink diet Sierra Mist...NO caffiene second....I drink 6-8 glasses of plain old water in addition to any sodas I consume so they do not keep me from drinking enough water. third....I have been drinking diet sodas for years and they have NEVER caused me to crave sweets....my…

It sounds like you have a good plan. Be careful driving that distance after working all night....I've been in a few scary situations driving home after working night shift. The cardiac job wil lead you to wherever you want to go so keep that in focus and you will succeed!
-
Yes I've worked 2 jobs at a time. It was for finacial reasons...you do what you have to do for whatever particular reason at that time in your life..With that being said I feel driving 4 hours round trip as a second job will wear on you especially if you're working nights. It could actually be an unsafe drive after working…

Hi guys! My name is Lynne and I've been a RN for 18 years now (second career choice for me). I've done a lot of different things in nursing....med/surg, home health, more med/surg on an acute GI floor (pre liver transplants and the like), agency work. It seemed after a couple of years in each position I would start getting…

Do a search on here and there has been many discussions about the same subject. Good luck!

I used to be a die hard Chobani fan but have switched to Fage and I love it! From the one's I eat the sugar is lower....7gr.

I just did a search in the MFP database and it is listed. I put in kfc grilled chicken thigh....then found it listed as "no skin" posted and it has 100 calories

This week I tried an new chicken recipe that was super easy and really good......http://www.skinnytaste.com/2009/08/baked-chicken-with-dijon-and-lime.html I used boneless skinless chicken breast and one of my MFP friends used the thighs and said it was good.My boyfriend who is not on or needs to be on a diet (other than…

You can manually go in and change your goals. 1200 was not enough for me and knew I would not make it if I was always hungry. I upped my to 1300. Some days I go to 1500 and I'm steadily losing weight. I would love to lose 2 lbs a week but it would be too fast and I would not have learned anything. I know I can lose the…

Pannectomy is still the removal of the excess pannus. I see this procedure done almost everyday and there are many private insurance companies that will pay. The skin amount and condition does not have to be as extreme as you describe. I've seen many woman and men who qualifited at various stages/amount. This is a good…

Ok...In my opinion the basis of this post is valid. But who cares? Why does anyone have the right to belittle someone on how they track there food or activities? You can't judge when you do not know all the particulars about the person. Bottom line if it works it works. Their choices are not for everyone but if they work…

Don't use powders such as Baby powders. Because of the skin fold it can lead to increase moisture. Not keeping the area clean and dry could lead to yeast infections. The good news is most insurance will pay for a pannectomy when there are skin issues involved. A pannectomy is removal of the loose skin not a "normal tummy…

Congrats! You look great. Thanks for sharing and inspiring all of us:happy:

I did have excess skin removed from my stomach a few years ago. At that point in my life I had lost 85lbs. Insurance did pay for mine....if it stays red and irritated or prone to yeast infections are things they look for. I used a plastic surgeon I worked with in the operating room and he had no problems with the…

Plan Plan Plan....when I work on my grocery list I look ahead and find new recipes or ways to modify existing ones. Like everyone is saying the recipe builder here is great!

For the first time in my life I'm actually under my "stated" weight. Can't wait until March when its time to renew so I can get a new pic and state my REAL weight!!
-
Wow that sounds good too and I'm going to have to try it but I kinda like the crispiness of doing it on the stove top. Maybe its because that is the way my Mom used to fix them except I don't use no where near the amount of butter she did...but then again her highest weight was 120 when she was pregnant...lol. Go figure…

I fix my in a skillet with butter spray and cinnamon. If I can spare the calories/fat I will had a little bit of margarine or butter so they won't stick as much. Despite using spray and nonstick pan they do have a tendency to stick. If you go by the database I feel it has a higher calorie count than what you can create on…
