Welcome sweetie! Good luck on your 5 miler!

I too am training for a half in September...I eat a small amount of calories with protein in it then go for my 3,4 or 5 mile run Monday and Wednesday then run long on Saturday...I do eat a bit more for my long run 10+ miles so as to make sure I have enough fuel to finish strong....after I get home I shower, take a cold ice…

I agree totally with the running and lifting because it's the fastest way to get the results I want...Running burns a ton of calories and is great cardio and lifting heavy builds muscle and tones and helps to burn more calories...very well said!

I understand the concept and did it for quite awhile and didn't lose weight..but my metabolism has been pretty messed up due to yoyo dieting over the years, and cancer...now I don't eat the exercise calories and I'm losing weight again...not everyone is the same and what works for one person wont work for someone else.

Forget the sodium...how about the chemicals...those are what you should be concerned with!
