Someone asked me this the other day. After wanting to be around for my family, the main 2 things are the way I feel now and how I never want to go back to how I felt when I was heavy. When I was at my heaviest of 260, I was tired all of the time and had a hard time catching my breath. I could not walk long distances, let…

I have never eaten exercise calories. In fact I don't enter my exercise until the end of the day so I have an accurate calorie reading. However- I also do not use the daily calories recommended by this site. I have strictly used this site to keep track of my calories consumed. I am, and have been, working with a trainer…

Definitely eat after your workout. My trainer always wants me to have something within 30min after I am done with my workouts. I always feel better when I do.

1. What is your goal? It was 185, then 175, now it's 20% bodyfat and stay between 165 and 170lbs. 2. How will you know when you get there? I already feel great and am close to my goal, but I know getting the bodyfat down will be harder than losing the weight was. But I know I can and will do it. It will just take a little…

I don't have a free day, but rather a free meal once a week. I have found that I can not eat the same things that I used to eat oh so long ago. I do make healthier choices, though sometimes I just can't resist and have something fried- though I pay for it later- LOL. I do count he calories though, and I still try to stay…

This sounds good to me. I just started focusing on the strength for me. I was doing endurance while I was trying to lose weight, but now that I'm at my weight goal, I am changing to emphasize gaining my strength back. My goal is to be able to do at least 10 body-weight pull-ups. I can do 2 now. I just started a…

I agree. I have an F11, and I use it at the gym all the time. Even though the machines show my heartrate because I am wearing the transmitter, the cals burnt are completely different from the watch to the machine. The machines always seem to overestimate.
-
Great post!!!!!!!
-
I always enter my weight on the machines. After 30min of cardio, the machine usually shows anywhere from 100 to 200 cals over what my heart rate monitor shows.
-
I have found, at least for me, that the machines overestimate the calories burned. I have been told by the trainers at my gym to cut the calories in half that the machines show, and after using a HRM it is pretty close to that. Good job on the walk. :flowerforyou:
