  • Thanks!!!
  • 10 min miles is about where I'm at also. Good luck Jenn. You'll do great!!! :drinker:
  • Thanks all!! It was a long, hard journey, but so glad I took it. I've been able to maintain for well over a year now. I've given myself goals throughout my journey, 2 of which I accomplished last year- to water ski and snow ski again. This latest goal has been one that I have been scared to try, but I finally broke down…
  • You look great. Awesome job!!! Keep up the great work. :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou: :drinker: :drinker:
  • I've been maintaining for over a year now. I upped my calories, but kept everything else the same. I stick with my my same workout routine, and same type of meal plan, though I switch it up every few months. I also try to have one free meal a week. For me, I figure as long as I stay within a 5 pound range, then I'm doing…
  • Congrats!!!!! :drinker: :drinker: :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou:
  • I usually have to re-adjust it, or have to make sure it's rinsed really good. I usuall wash it in the washer at least once a month.
  • I don't know what the 'experts' say, but doing Cardio and weight training on the same day worked for me. When I was losing my weight, I would do 30- 60 min of cardio 6 days a week and I was doing 50min of wight training 3 days a week. Now that I am in maintenance, I do 3 days of weights and 2 days of cardio for anywhere…
  • Congrats!! Awesome job!! :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou:
  • Looking good!!!!!! Great job!! :drinker:
  • Water, water and more water. No sodas and very minimal alcohol if any at all. Keep accountable: Log your food, even on your bad days. Even if you do have a bad day, don't let it get to you. Just get right back into eating right as soon as you can. Exercise at least 30min a day with 1 day of rest, or at least no gym.…
  • Congrats!!! Keep up the GREAT work!! :flowerforyou: :drinker:
  • Well said Jeannie!! Good job all!! :drinker: The way I see it. this is my new lifestyle. Whenever people ask me how I did it and what diet I used I tell them I stared eating right and going to the gym everyday. I also tell them that I did not use a diet, rather a lifstyle change. It definitely took some time, about 7 years…
  • I'm right there with you SBS. The last few reps should feel like you can't do any more. If you think you can still do 5 more when you are on your last rep, then it's time to go heavier. At least that's how it is for me.
  • I LOVE 21's. They really work my beceps. :glasses:
  • Congrats Tami!!!!!! He is adorable. :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou:
  • Don't get discouraged. Those last 10 are definitely the hardest to lose. When I did my weight loss it took me 12 months to lose 90 pounds then another 5 months or so to lose the last 10. Now my weight still fluxuates between 160 and 165 which gives me either a 100 pound loss or a 95 pound loss, but my bodyfat keeps going…
  • Thanks all. Glad you like my story, and glad I finally took the time to write it down. I don't post as much as I used to. I still check out the boards now and again, but I will try to be around more often and try to get back into posting. Take care. :glasses:
  • Try some almonds. About 16 raw almonds = 100 cals. Or add some avocado to a meal, that will add healthy cals. I try to eat every 3 hours, wether I'm hungry or not, though that usually is not a problem. I am on maintenance and eat about 2000 cals a day. Some days if I'm more active than usual I need to eat a little more and…
  • Good job!!!! :drinker:
  • Thanks all. I really appreciate it. It was a long, hard road, but well worth it in the end. :drinker:

  • Good job!!!!! :drinker:
  • Good job to all. For me it was a few major things that changed: 1: I stopped drinking soda and alcohol and started drinking LOTS of water. I was probably drinking 3-4 cans of soda a day and now I will only have a sip of someone else's once in a long while. I also stopped drinking a lot of alcohol. I still have a drink once…
  • Great job!!! :drinker:
  • I take pictures and measure once a month. It helped a lot a tthe beginning, though I didn't think about doing that until I had already lost about 30 pounds during my journey. I wish I had started at the beginning.
  • Yes. I always take at least 1 full day off from exercising a week. Even when I started my journey, I had a tendency to over do things. I was working out 1-2 times a day- 7 days a week. My trainer told me I needed to take 1 full day off to let my body rest. It did help me to recover for the next week. Good luck.
  • Congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • I have 'Making the Cut' and have done the program. I like it, but I am also at my goal. It is definitely not for a beginner, and as someone stated earlier, it's to help you lose those last 10 pounds or to try to get leaner. The exercises are advanced and there are many exercises that you need machines to do them with, so…
  • When I was doing cardio every day I was doing 2-a days, cardio in the am, and weights in the pm. I used to really like it and it worked for me. Now that I'm at my goal I don't have to do as much cardio. If you enjoy 2 a days, then go for it. Shari :glasses:
