My computer is not showing that right, I'm sure. I only see weird square with a line in the middle.Do you have a Mac friendly version, please?

That it's my genetic inheritance, and I don't overeat. Both of those are true, but genetics is only one factor and even eating normal quantities of bad food will have bad results.

I tried pedometers but none of the cheapy models I could afford ever tracked my steps anywhere near accurate. Maybe it's because my legs are so short, I don't know. Does yours seem accurate? I don't know how to measure walking on here except for time...so sorry I can't help.

That WOULD feel awesome!!! :)

Lays Dill Pickle chips. I am physically unable to stop. Therefore, I avoid them very much.

I claim it as well. If you think the husband and dogs make a mess, try children!!! Omg, it's a good thing they're cute and that whole maternal instinct thing. If my profile weren't set on sedentary, I wouldn't though, I don't think.

This was awesome.

I hadn't heard about it either, but it's not the kind of thing that freaks me out anyway. I like to worry about stupider, less significant things than that...well, okay I don't like to, but that's the way I'm made. I don't flinch thinking of bears when hiking, or the end of the world, or pandemics. It's the dumb things…

The challenge was started Sept 14th, and you must have joined at some point after that. I think it counts, but I'm new to this whole group challenge thing. I'm counting mine that came off only a couple of days later, which obviously started coming off before that.

Coffee...I just can't kick the habit and I don't think I even want to. I tried hard to switch to tea...bought every flippin' flavour there is, but there is not substitute. I am, however, working on cutting back on the extras...goal is to enjoy it black eventually. That's why my other diet failed. They said I couldn't drink…

Honestly, I find it is the being active that charges me up the most. I have been very, very sedentary since my teens. I am a lazy person and like quiet, stationary hobbies...but let me tell you, after I force myself into doing some exercise, I feel great! I think it is a combination of 'greats'...the good feeling of having…

laloquita21 gets the credit for the banner! You're welcome for the tutorial. :) And welcome to the newcomers!

We were SO hoping on having another family vacation to Orlando, FL. My parents, my sisters family and my family all went in Feb 2010 and had such a wonderful time! We were planning on going again Feb 2013, but I don't think we're going to make it because of finances. :( My daughter will not stop wearing the Minnie Mouse…

My nuclear family is very tight. There are 4 of us and now that my sister and I are all grown up, we all get along quite well...as long as we don't spend TOO much time together. We spend good time together. As far as weight loss goes, we're all to comfortable...too fat, too lazy, too apathetic. I am the one amongst us that…

Are you kidding? No effin way! Sag or not, I just can't do it. lol
-
3lb in a week is awesome!!! You're doing fine. Permanent weight loss usually is the kind you get to the slow and steady way. Maybe your friends lost more water weight then you (how are your sodium levels?), or were just lucky...but you've done good!

I understand this all too well, unfortunately. My ex was only diagnosed a few years ago, got on meds which helped somewhat but kept missing his appointments for dosage adjustment and counseling...I would consider it uncontrolled bipolar. His extreme spending was sinking us fast and he had completely irrational expectations…

I'm a total introvert. I love people, get along with people, and enjoy my social time. But without my ALONE time I get very antsy and out of sorts. I don't mind being alone, don't really get lonely often, and enjoy my own company.

Water, water, water...I guess that's why we're only supposed to weigh in once a week. lol But I find it hard to resist as well.
-
My only previous attempt was at Truestar gyms for women...I think it was in Canada and US, but maybe only Canada. Not surprisingly, it failed for several reasons. - it was far too strict and nitpicky to sustain forever - my then husband wanted me to go, but sabotaged my efforts - it was too expensive - I was dealing with…

:flowerforyou: I agree. It shows how you're changing your lifestyle, which is the key.

I read it the same way. lol And I thought, good gawd, why would I want to know how much my bum weighs??? lol
-
That story ROCKED!!!! Congratulations on everything....your excitement and enthusiasm is palpable even through text. :)

I'm sorry. :( You sound so okay about it, but I know there must be other levels where it doesn't feel as good. That's painful no matter how better off it is in the long run. Keep up the positive attitude for the most part though, and keep treating yourself right...and for sure don't wait another 16 years.

Why ARE you staying then? Would she fight to try and keep the 5 year old even though she wants to party? My husband wanted to stay with me while he saw what else was out there, so to speak, and I said you're WITH ME, or you're not. I'm nobody's backup plan and I'm not just there to keep the household running.

Change the capital IMG's to lowercase img's. There, I see it now. It sure is nice. :)

Closer MissD! Change the capital IMG to img and it should work
-
MissD, you'll want to not use HTML...try just grabbing the link and putting it in image tags. Like: [ img] and [ /img] with the link in between. DO NOT INCLUDE THE SPACES.

First off, since it's hosted with tinypics.com I *think* it okay for us to use it as is and not save it and upload it to our own image host, but someone please correct me if I'm wrong. 1. Right click on the banner you want, and select Copy image location. 2. At the top of this page right under where it says Message…

I get embarrassed about anything compliments. Attention freaks me out...
